Heath had just finished setting up a picnic in the park, he had asked Abbey out again and wanted to surprise her. he finished putting a rose in the vase being careful not to burn it like last time. just then he got a text from Abbey saying she was on her way

*perfect!* he thought as he grinned to himself 

Heath: I got some time *sits down*

10 MINUTES LATER

soon he saw her walking to him, her smile growing as she saw what Heath did for her, she blushed as she walked beside him

Heath: Abbey! My Ice Queen! Welcome To The Best Night Of Your Life...

Abbey: Oh Heath! You Shouldn't have!

Heath: I have plans like this for the future, so get used to it

he held her hand and they both sat down on the blanket

Heath: care for a bite my Ice queen?

Abbey laughed and Heath loved her laugh, he loved her voice. the day he met her he loved her, he never thought fire and ice could get along but here he is with his Ice queen. he grabbed 2 sandwiches and handed one to Abbey

Heath: sorry if it's a little stale I made these this morning...

Abbey: it's fine I'm no picky eater but Shivers is

Heath: isn't he your pet?

Abbey: you can say that, he was my only friend in the mountains, my mom gave him to me when he was a baby, I was like 6 when I got him

she took a bite of her sandwich and her eyes lit up

Abbey: Wow Heath! I Knew You Were A Gentleman But I Didn't Know You Were A Chef!

Heath: I'd Be Even Better If They Were Fresh! I mean they were wrapped up and there was a cooler in the basket but still, I've been here for like 2 hours finding the right spot and setting up

Abbey: don't worry Heath, this is better then the mystery meat I had for lunch *laugh*

Heath: *laugh* yeah I don't even think that's edible, I mean Clawd has to be allergic to something in there because the last time he ate it he was in the bathroom throwing up, Clawdeen had to act like an older sister to him and take care of him. but I'm glad you like it

he took another bite from his sandwich and grabbed a pitcher full of Ice tea

Heath: care for some Ice tea to wash it down my Ice queen?

Abbey: oh Heath, Can You Be Any More Formal?

Heath: I try, but since it's been hot out lately I doubt the tea has ice in it

he pours 2 glasses of tea and sees no ice

Heath: and I was right

Abbey: I can fix that

Abbey used her powers to make ice appear in the drink, they took a sip

Abbey: did you put honey in this?

Heath: yeah Deuce told me that's the secret to great Ice tea, is that a problem?

Abbey: No, It's Amazing!

Heath: *laugh* well, I guess it's okay..

Abbey: Give Yourself Some Credit Heath! sure Deuce might have helped but you made this using your heart! if only he was here he would have been proud

Heath felt himself blush, he looked at Abbey in her eyes and saw them sparkle, he held her cold hand

Heath: my Ice Queen... I-I'm not good at saying my feelings so I'll make this straight... y-you make me feel warm and fuzzy, you make me smile even when I'm hot headed, I'm so glad I met you Abbey... I.. would.. *sigh* would you be my ghoulfriend?

Abbey looked shocked, Heath closed his eyes and hoped she wouldn't say no, if it wasn't for the cold draft drifting from her Heath would have thought she left. Abbey blushed and smiled, she then leaned to Heath and kissed him on his lips he was shocked, his head gaining more flames but he kissed back, Abbey squeezed Heath's hot hand

Abbey: I would love to Heath...

2 HOURS LATER

Heath: this was a good date right?

Abbey: you know it was Heath

after a long night of eating, being romantic, bird watching and throwing fire and ice at each other, they were exhausted. the sun began rising so the sky was lavender pink and gold, Heath and Abbey were sitting on the blanket next to each other watching

Heath: beautiful sunrise huh? the second most beautiful thing I've ever seen

Abbey: what's the first?

Heath held Abbey's hand

Heath: I'm looking at it

Abbey's eyes lit up and she pulled Heath into a side hug

Heath: I can just see our next few dates, maybe a few movies, dinner dates...

Abbey: you like to plan huh?

Heath: I only plan my time to spend with you

Abbey kissed Heath's cheek

Abbey: there's no rush Heath lets just enjoy the moment

Heath: yeah.. your right, I love you Abbey

Abbey: I love you too 

they watched the sunrise together enjoying the moment
