After her high school education, Funke couldn't continue her education as she had no sponsor, so she started looking for menial jobs in order to sustain herself for school.
After her high school education,Funmi blossomed into a very beautiful lady, she caught the eyes of many, but being a very good Christian and uptight lady she didn't give any guy chance, and also the irresponsible behavior of her father contributed to her abstinence from guys.
The first job she got was at a sardine company where she worked full time, but the salary she got from the work was not even enough to take care of herself not to talk of her younger siblings and her mother, but she continued the job with the hope that one day she will be able to gather money.
But something devastating happened, her mother fell terribly sick, that she almost lost her life, so Funmi didn't have any choice then but to use the name to save her mother's life and her elder siblings couldn't assist much. By the time, her mother recovered and she went back to her workplace, she was told that another person has been employed in her stead, she cried for days, but then she picked up her remaining piece to start all over.
After roaming the street for sometime, she was got another job at a plastic company where her pay was higher than her previous job, Funmi was able to save enough to buy a JAMB form.
She applied to Federal College of Education, Abeokuta, because her dream was to become a teacher at first, Funmi sat for JAMB where she passed excellently.
