They say that the road ain't no place to start a family. Right down the line, it's been you and me. And lovin' a music man ain't always what it's supposed to be. Oh girl you stand by me. I'm forever yours, faithfully

After about 8 hours in the train, Lucy finally arrived to the worn-out city of Ortus. She stepped outside of the train and looked around. It looked deserted and unpeopled. (Yes, unpeople is a real word)

When she left the station, the sun brightly gazed upon her. Lucy squinted her eyes by the harsh light. She looked around the city and saw the military walking towards her.

"What is your relation with Ortus City? Don't tell me you're a slave from Seven?!?" One of the guards shouted and the rest of the guards aimed their guns at her.

Lucy raised up her hands in surprise. She was completely clueless.

"Umm.. I came from Magnolia. I have no relation with Seven." She stammered and kept her hands in the air. The guards gave a quick nod to each other.

"Could you be, a celestial mage?" Suddenly, people came and started to gather around them. Lucy nodded and the guards held down their guns. Lucy sighed in relief.

"You're a celestial mage? Everybody! This young lady will help us!" An old man shouted while the crowd either clapped or shouted in glee.

"You're wrong, I'm here looking for Andromeda Temple." Lucy shook her head. The citizens looked discouraged yet one man in the crowd seemed to be the opposite.

"If you're looking for Andromeda Temple, I can lead you the way." A man with orange hair moved through the crowd until he reached the front. The man had a spiky undercut. He reminded her of Natsu, although he had orange hair.

"How would I know if I can trust you?" Lucy looked at him, straight in the eye.

"Don't worry, Xenos is one of the strongest mages here in Ortus. He also know every inch of this city." The old man reassured Lucy by pushing Xenos more closer to Lucy.

Xenos gazed at the blonde with infatuation. She looked the perfect girl, a man could ever  find. She was clearly a Material Girl. He stared at her and didn't even realise that Lucy was talking to him. The crowd began to dissipate as seconds pass.

"Xenos-san? Are you listening?" Lucy gave a non-violent slap to the face that made him flinched. The boy was surprised and scratched his head. It was love at first sight.

"Sorry, I was just surprised on how you look. I thought that celestial mages are old women that wears turbans and stuff like that." He stifled a giggle.

Lucy wanted to wipe the grin that was plastered in his face. He was annoying, although very sociable. Not like someone she knows.

"So, when do we leave for the temple?" Lucy boredly asked. She wanted to go back to Magnolia, where her home was. Although, she felt like she never wants to see them again.

"Hold up, I don't even know your name. Plus, there's so many things to explore Ortus. I know it's very rundown and such, but we have a rich history here."

"It's Lucy, Lucy Heartfillia. I came from the guild, Fairy Tail." For some reason, she felt relieved of saying her whole name. It's not like the Heartfilia was a big deal. It was a humiliation to her and her ancestors.

"Well then, Lucy-san, you're going experience Ortus like never before!" Xenos grabbed Lucy's hand and began to run to the populous part of the city.

When they entered, people were all over the place. Kids running with their friends, people buying in the markets and an old bookstore. She stopped running and faced the store.

"You like books? That's our only bookstore, although they might have some good books." The dusty and old ambience of the bookstore made Lucy gaze in awe. It was the simplest things that made her happy.

As they entered the only bookstore in Ortus, it smelled like pure dust and smoke. It was dark, although the books was the star of the show. Nothing else matters except for the books.

"So, welcome to the not updated and only bookstore in Ortus. Have fun looking through the books here." Xenos snorted while looking at the dusty old books near the counter.

Lucy's fingers slipped through one of the books in the psychology area. There was one book that won her attention. As she handled the book, layers of dust covered most of the front cover. She wiped it with her shirt and saw an astonishing design yet an eerie title.

"Egg of the Black Goat, by Sen Takatsuki." The vibrant yellow color and splatter of blood as design looks opposing. Psychology books were suppose to make you smarter rather than making you cringe.

(A/N Not sure if it's actually Psychology or Horror)

Xenos came up to her and looked over. He saw the menacing cover of the book that Lucy held.

"Egg of the Black Goat? Sounds creepy." Xenos brusquely mumbled.

Lucy ignored him and  walked over to the counter to pay the book. She felt contended since it was like a renewal and a new beginning. Just maybe, she can dazzle in the spot light and everyone will notice that she is not something feeble.

When they left the store, Lucy saw a guild mark in his right shoulder; making her curious.

Right shoulder? Just like him.

"I see you're part of a guild. " Lucy looked over to him while walking. Xenos looked staggered by her words. It was unusual for him to talk about his guild.

"A-Ah, I'm part of Red Daybreak." He was stammering. He seemed unforthcoming, so he chuckled to hide his anxiousness.

"So, how come you're here? Shouldn't you be taking jobs?"

"The problem is, Red Daybreak is a dark guild."  He sighed while Lucy stood there dumbfounded.

Heyooooo. So, another chapter finished.

I've been reading a lot of fanfics and some of them are really good. But the problem is that the words are too complex.

Example:

Now old desire doth in his death-bed lie, and young affection gapes to his heir; that fair for which love groan'd for and would die.

Yeah, I'm not gonna right like that. I'm 13 so yeah. Sorry about that.

ANother announcement is that I'm not gonna write next week since we have camp (yey)

So bye and yeah. Go read some other books.
