Chapter 9

"You're late, Princess." Virgo scoffed, bowing to her master while all the luggage was behind her.

"Well, Virgo, you have a different perspective of a princess. A princess is never late, everyone else is simply early." Lucy shot back, laughing at Virgo's mistake.

Lucy looked around the forest, she would surely miss Magnolia—no, Earthland. Leaving your planet of birth was surely different, but also gave her the opportunity to be reborn. She swore to herself that she will return, not for Fairy Tail, but to show her improved self.

"This is it, Virgo. The land where all the gods had taken refuge. It is a great honour to be their next ruler." She pulled out a crystal key, a transparent one. It had the same shape as her celestial keys. The crystal refracted a rainbow color that made Virgo look with awe.

"Open, gate of Celestium!" A portal appeared in front of Lucy. Through the hall, a line of maids made way for her.

"Virgo, let's go." Lucy hand signalled Virgo to go inside, so she did. Before entering, she took atlas a minute to really see the beauty of Earth land, one more time. Then, some bushes started to rustle. She then realised that someone was following them.

"All preparations are finished, Princess." Virgo spoke in our her natural monotonous voice.

"Come out, whoever you are." Lucy stood her ground and bravely shouted. Then, she saw the people she never wanted to see again. It was her team, excluding Natsu.

"L-Lucy?!? What's the meaning of this?!" Ezra stuttered, while the rest stayed quiet.

"I'm leaving Earthland for good." Lucy talked in a icily manner, trying to conceal her feelings.

"Why?!? Don't you wanna stay with us?! We're comrades!" Wendy paced forward, towards Lucy.

Lucy looked over to her hand and saw her insignia. To fully stop their connection, she did the unthinkable. After thrusting most of her magic to her hand, she was able to erase her insignia for good. The team couldn't believe what she has done. She then took the advantage to go inside the portal.

"LUCY!"

"DON'T LEAVE! WE'RE ALWAYS HERE FOR YOU!"

"WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS?!?!?"

"PLEASE! DON'T! YOU'LL MAKE US SAD!"

Those words filled the forest, until everyone started running towards the portal. Lucy then fully entered the portal and when it closed, they were about a meter away.

"Au revóir, Fairy Tail." The light from Earthling dispersed and never again was seen.

"We've been expecting you, Lucy Heartfillia." A woman about the same age as Lucy stated behind her in the line of maids. She turned around and saw the same woman she made the contract with.

"Sorry for the delay. I took quite a stroll coming here." Lucy walked towards her as Virgo followed behind her.

"No worries. Now. without further ado, I'll introduce you to everyone." The woman was stunning. She wore a white tunic with a gold headband that was considered as a crown. She had dirty blonde hair and emerald eyes that made her exquisite.

"Welcome to Knowhere. A god-made realm that was created about hundreds of years ago. This realm is home to gods and supernatural buildings." Lucy was shocked by it's beauty, it was like Earth land and Edolas mixed together. There were floating islands and on top, there were villages, houses and even castles.

"This place is amazing. How is it even need help?" She reluctantly decided to walk forward as the same pace as the lady.

"That's the problem. Most of the people who lives here does not know how corrupt its system. My mother, the queen has no power over the senate for personal reasons. That is why we needed a new candidate for Knowhere's new head." The girl explained while showing a face full of sorrow.

"W-Wait, that means, you're the princess?!?!" Lucy shouted that made her earn few viewers outside of their conversation.

"Well, I technically am. Anyway, I'm Andromeda, the princess of Knowhere. I am also the main messenger that travels to Earthland to find the most suitable heiress of this realm. Here you are." She spoke slowly, deepening her voice every second she speaks.

Lucy plastered a crooked smile that made Andromeda laugh and said, "Don't worry, we're all here to help you." Lucy sighed in relief. Lucy has no idea how to even manage her house rent, how will she able to manage a realm full of supernatural beings?

Lucy then spoke again, "Well, with the conditions, I will. I brought my celestial spirits with me and they seem to be fine. Anyway, this is Virgo." Lucy stepped to the side to reveal Virgo. Virgo then gave a respectable bow while Andromeda did a small bow.

"We seem to be running late, we must go. We're heading to Outwith Palace, where all the royalties live. Let's go." In a flash, Andromeda teleported them to the palace.

The place is breathtaking, marble floors and diamond chandeliers were just too fairy tale like. Also, Lucy also noticed people wearing a white tunic and crowns was walking towards her. It was the so-called Royalties. Andromeda stood in front of Lucy and walked towards the band of people. When they were a out a meter, a woman in her late forties that looked similar to Andromeda stepped up.

"Andromeda, my child. It seems like you brought our heiress. Do you mind if you don't stand in front of her?" She had a voice of elegance and power, it seems behind her pretty face was a devil inside.

"Pardon me, mother. A queen will always wait unless she is introduced. I think introducing to her personally would work the best." Andromeda stepped sideward to reveal Lucy. The queen's eyes widen in surprise.

"Oh my, you look like Anna. We were such good friends then. Anyway, like my daughter said, I am Knowhere's queen. I am Queen Cassiopeia of Knowhere, nice to meet you, finally." The queen offered her hand as a handshake, as a fellow soon-to-be queen, she needed to realise that they are equal.

"Nice to meet you too. I am Lucy Heartfillia." Lucy accepted the handshake, giving the best first impression.
