Deep in my bones, I can feel you.T  take me back to a time only we knew. Hideaway. We could waste the night with an old film, smoke a little weed on the couch in the back room. Hideaway. Say you'll never let me go.

"D-dark guild?!" Lucy stopped walking and faced him. Xenos felt a surge of guilt for not telling her who he really was.

"Don't worry, Lucy-san. We're not the type of guild who will kill anyone in our sight." He gave her a million-dollar smile. The smile reassured her, but also reminded her of him .

————————-

"WHAT DO YOU MEAN SHE'S NOT HERE?!?!" Natsu clenched his fist and banged the counter, earning several other viewers in the guild.

"Natsu, it was her decision. I tried my best to stop her." Mira continued wiping the glasses in the counter, not even making eye contact with Natsu. It was normal that she was ashamed that their plans were destroyed.

"Tsk. What are we going to do now?" Gray posed for a second, realising that he contained no clothes before panicking.

"The only way is to bring her back." The sound of metal clanking in the floor made Natsu's head turn, realising it was only Erza.

"I agree with her. Although I don't really want to interfere with her job." Out of the blue, Lisanna stepped into the spotlight and told everyone what she felt like doing. The other members in the team seemed to agree.

"So, this is what's go—"

"NO! You will not go to Ortus City to find Lucy." A large staff struck the ground that made everyone tremble, it was Master.

"Master?!?" Everyone in the room turned their heads to face their Master. Natsu started to flare up because of his decision.

"Why?!? What if she's in trouble?!?" Natsu shot back, making everyone starting to worry. They do trust Lucy, but they don't trust her power alone.

"Ortus City is considered to be one of the most mysterious cities here in Fiore. Not only chosen people are allowed to enter, not all people gets to leave the city. From the past century, 20 mages were appointed to a job in Ortus and guess what happened." Makarov climbed up and sat in he counter, solemnly smoking his pipe.

"They never came back." There was an odd silence circling the bar area. All of them all looked serious except for Natsu; who was filled with determination. (A/N Undertale reference)

"Doesn't that make me want to save her more? Stop bullshitting me! Lucy is important, she's part of our family!" Natsu argued back, making Master think in deep thought.

"Out of those twenty mages, five of them were from Magic Council, seven were from an old prominent guild, seven were Fairy Tail mages and one Wizard Saint." Those last three words rang a bell in everyone's ear. They were far from keeping themselves normal after hearing this. What made Ortus so powerful that even a wizard saint defeated?

"Hearing that makes me nervous, Gramps. Although, I will never give up!" Natsu ended his sentence with a laugh. He was very determined that he felt fire pumping through his veins.

"I know talking it out will never work. For now, we must investigate this thoroughly before heading into the battlefield. I will not accept any complains. If you want to go ahead, you're better off dead."

The guild once again was in a state of awkward silence. Their master was never serious and even violent with his words. But now, he is unsure about his position as the leader of the guild. He doesn't want to repeat history.

"There's still a chance that she will return in a week. If not, that's where we'll begin." Master once again talked then, the member dispersed into their own ways.

———————————-

"So seriously, are you even part of a dark guild? This place is so heartwarming and friendly, I could live here forever." Lucy spoke and ended with a yawn. It is true, the city of Ortus might be out dated; but people here were 10 times better than the ones in Magnolia.

"Lucy-san, I can assure you we're part of a dark guild. You see, we do all the dirty work of the government. If Ortus falls, Seven might take over this part of Fiore." Xenos pulled his hair back, shiny orange hair that was exotic to the eye. Lucy blushed and looked over the other side.

"What do you mean dirty work? I do hope its not one of those cleaning duties."

Xenos chuckled and replied, "No, Lucy-san, we don't do cleaning services. What I mean is that we assassinate people. They're mostly spies from Seven. Don't worry, it's against the law to hurt other countrymen."

Lucy widen her eyes in disbelief.

Assassination? Why would even anyone would consider that?

"I see." She replied sadly.

"This is why I hate telling people what I do. I scare them away. You're the first person who hasn't ran away at this point." Xenos returned a sad smile. His walking pace started to get more faster until Lucy was way far behind him, until Lucy stopped and shouted.

"Xenos-kun! Just remember, I don't hate you because of what you do! I care, believe me!" And with that, Xenos' expression changed and walked back to where Lucy was.

"Lucy-chan, I guess I can call you that since you called me -kun." Xenos started to laugh and once again continued their walk.

"By the way, where are we headed?"

"We're headed towards our house. Don't worry, I live with my family." He once again displayed his million dollar smile.

While walking, a bird sudden flew downwards, aiming at Xenos. Much to Lucy's surprise, it was a messenger from his guild. The message said:

Xenos,

Come back to the guild immediately. According to Avenir, there is plan of sabotaging Ortus by Seven spies. Master says it would be nice if you bring reinforcements since the other are in different locations right now. It doesn't have to be from our guild. Plus, they'll get their share too.

                                                                                                                                             Tasha

"Lucy-chan, I have a job that was requested to me. It says that 'it would be nice if you bring reinforcements', is it alright if you become one." Xenos handed the half-destroyed paper to Lucy.

Lucy knew that she couldn't accept the job. She has no talent in killing. She doesn't even want to hurt people.

Lucy hesitated for a while. Her face became confused to scared to confused again.

"Lucy-chan, you don't have to push yourself. It's okay if you don't want to."

"Sure, why not take the job? Although, I might need some assassination lessons." Lucy handed back the paper to Xenos, smiling.

She has no idea what she's done. No idea at all.

If the heavens ever did speak, she's the last true mouthpiece. Every Sunday's getting more bleak. A fresh poison each week.
