Chapter 3

After we slid together, CJ and I started talking more with the guy. His name was Maddox, 16 years old, just like us and has a younger sibling named Noah. CJ and I also introduced ourselves to him. CJ didn't had siblings but I have a younger sister named Lucy, she is the sweetest, but sometimes kinda annoying.
CJ invited him to get ice cream with us and he accepted surprisingly. After a while walking through the water park and eating ice cream, I realized that Maddox was a pretty friendly and sweet boy. Which is kind of rare to find in these days honestly.
But then out of nowhere, a girl came to Maddox and hugged him for behind, surprising him.
"I was looking for you everywhere honey!" The girl said, excitedly.
Her hair was blonde and long, green eyes and natural pink lips, wearing a pink bikini. Honestly, she looked like a Barbie in real life. Who is this girl?.
"Hi Sophie, sorry I was just getting some ice cream" Maddox said to her.
So that was his girlfriend. But of course, how I did not think of that? He is gorgeous, of course he has a stunning girlfriend. I felt so stupid at that moment, realizing I didn't had any chances with him, especially with that girl hugging him like that.
"Who are these girls?" Sophie asked kinda disgustedly.
"We just slid together in the water slide." He explained.
Sophie gives CJ and I a look, like she was threatening us with her eyes. That was weird since I didn't even knew her at all.
After that, she takes Maddox's arm and starts walking with him to the opposite direction from us. Maddox gives me a last look before leaving, like he was saying something but I couldn't figure out what.
"That was very strange." CJ said. "I'm sorry girl, but if he is stupid enough to be with that kind of girl, just forget it."
I smiled at her, but I was actually kinda sad about the situation.
After a long day at the water park (that I confess sometimes I was looking for Maddox, but I didn't find him anywhere), CJ's family and I came back to the hotel. CJ and I told all the things we did to CJ's parents and they seemed happy that we had fun.
After dinner (that was delicious), I received a message that made me really confused.
"Hey Jasmin, it's me Maddox. I'm sorry for my gf, she is just kinda protective sometimes. It was fun hanging out with you and your friend. Maybe we can repeat that another day?"
I instantly showed CJ the message and her face explained everything.
"You gave him my number didn't you?" I asked her, already knowing the answer.
"I'm sorry bestie, but if he texted you first, he wanted to talk to you. Maybe you can be with him after all." She said with a smile.
"But CJ, he has a girlfriend, and not just a girlfriend, a stunning girlfriend. That girl looks like a model. I don't have any chances with him CJ."
"Hey, looks are not the most important, but yes the personality. You saw how arrogant Sophie was, looking at us like we were insects or something. You are so much better than her, come on, give yourself a chance."
I thought about the possibility of stealing Maddox from Sophie. I know that saying like that seemed wrong, but in the same time Sophie wasn't the right girl for him, I could fell it. He was too innocent and sweet to a girl like her. So I texted him back.
"Hey Maddox, don't worry about your gf, I understand cuz I am a girl too. Yeah maybe we can repeat that, CJ and I are going to the water park tomorrow again. It will be cool to see you there, bye."
CJ smiled at me.
"See? I am really a Cupid after all, can't wait to see you two together." She said.
"Shut up CJ." I said but I couldn't help but smile.
