Chapter 8

'That's photoshop Maddox!" Sophie started. "They just want you to take you from me, simple as that!"
Maddox started looking at the picture again.
"Oh my God Maddox! How can you still believe her?  You literally have the proof in your hands." CJ almost screamed.
Suddenly, I had an idea. I ran towards the beach as fast as I could. I didn't even cared about the fight at the moment, because I could finish this situation.
When I finally arrived at the beach, I was breathing heavily and my legs were hurting. Then I saw the beach guard doing his job normally. This is my chance. I went towards the beach guard and without any warning I explained everything I could to him.
"Wait, so you're telling me that Sophie was just using me? I can't believe it. How could she!? He started, surprised.
"Listen, we don't have time right now. You have to help me so that her boyfriend can believe us."
After 5 seconds of thinking, he agreed to help us. What a relief.
When the beach guard (which his name was Mike) and I came back, I couldn't even believe my eyes. CJ and Sophie were fighting, like real fighting, in front of everybody. Pulling each other's hair and insulting each other. I needed to stop this before her parents come back from the water park.
"Maddox! The beach guard is here. He will explain what happened ." I said, getting Maddox's attention.
Mike started talking with Maddox. Since everything was getting resolved on that side, I needed to think in a way to stop the fight between CJ and Sophie.
"CJ! Please stop fighting her! She is not worth it, trust me."
CJ looked at me, but not in a good way. Oh shit.
"And where were you all this time!?" She asked.
I could see she was not happy with my absence all this time. That's probably why she started fighting Sophie. In this kind of situation, I am always the one to calm her down.
"CJ, the beach guard is here."
Both the girls looked at Mike and Maddox talking and then, they stopped fighting in the same second. Maddox looked he was done with the conversation, because he started walking towards Sophie. And for the way he was looking at her, I already knew what was going to happen next.
"Sophie, we're done." He said, without any regrets.
"But Maddox-" Sophie started, but then she got interrupted.
"No Sophie, I don't want to hear your shit anymore. I really thought you were a good person, but I was wrong. Now go somewhere else where I can't see your stupid  face and stay there for the rest of my life."
I was kinda surprised with Maddox's words, but also happy that Sophie heard them. After that she just gave up, and went back to the hotel as quickly as she could. CJ and I looked at each other, without any reaction about what just happened in front of our faces. Maddox turned to look at me and smiled.
"Thank you, for what you two did for me."
He smiled again and started walking towards the hotel, leaving CJ and I alone. What!?
