Starting off, this is a story written by two authors, both with full credit. Both Aurelia and Maizy wrote this TOGETHER!
Secondly, this started as a roleplay, so it's reminiscent of that. We also really only do this late at night, so we say some goofy stuff... If it's funny we keep it. Oh well! Also, we wrote some of this weeks apart, so there will definitely be plot-holes. We beta read this before posting, but some things slip, you know?
Thirdly, there are so many references in here. Probably some that are unintentional, even. We got The Karate Kid, Glee, The Monkees, Taylor Swift, everything. Just ignore those, but if you get one feel free to comment on it because we add them in here for attention, basically.
Fourth, this probably will never get finished!
Fifth, we are not professional writers. We have never taken a writing class. We have no clue what we're doing. We just kinda write and then words appear. We DO try to make it have emotion, purpose, and grammar, but sometimes it doesn't work the way we want it to and that's okay.
Sixth, this is written by two (probably) straight teenage girls. We don't know how it's really like to be gay teenage boys in the 1960s in the south. If any of this is offensive in any way to the LGBTQ+ community, please say something and know that it was not our intention. This will have homophobia, because it's the 1960s in the south. But know that's the characters speaking, not us. We love you all!
