Enemy [Kim x Macau]

chapter 11

Macau's pov

I was putting in my suit for the ball , I let out a sigh , I spotted some blood earlier on the bed and I wonder if Kim had injured himself..I put on my mask , I head outside , I bought a horse for me , the seller did a good price for me honestly , it was already evening , the ball might have already started , I pet the horse and hop on it , I went to the kingdom

I sealed my powers but even if I do so , someone might still caught me , fuck , this isn't good

"I will check some of the guest"

That familiar voice , I looked up , It was the prince , I narrowed my eyes , why was he checking the guests? Wasn't he suppose to be inside? It was my turn , for some reason I found him familiar though I don't know why , he put his hand up , to my forehead , I was sweating

"You may go in"

Oh? I didn't question myself and went inside but I looked back..was his power weak? But I heard he was strong but also , he would've already noticed my power , this was weird..I let out a sigh , I was standing at the table of food , questioning myself , there was a thousand of questions pooping inside my head but I was more concerned about Kim,  where was he? Wasn't he invited to the ball? I thought that he was gonna be here , I looked around the place , I couldn't possible attack the prince here

The place was full of people and there were many guards around ,  I took a drink from the table , it was champagne , I took a  sip but then I saw the prince getting a drink , the same as me , champagne , I noticed he was staring at me , weird..was he suspecting me..?..I look down

An hour went by , I couldn't find myself to cornered him , all I can do now is to wait till the ball is over , everyone seemed to be dancing , I had no partner so all I could do was to look at them , I didn't see the prince , I needed to keep an eye on him

"May I have a dance with you?"

I turned around and saw the prince , his hand forward to me , I bow

"It is an honor to do so my prince"

I said as I put my hand on his , weird , he put a hand on my waist , for some reason his warmth felt familiar , Kim , where were you?

"You seem preoccupied , may I know what you're thinking?"

His voice , his warmth , they were just like him , I smiled

"Nothing my prince"

I shouldn't arise suspicions , I got his attention and it's a good thing , I looked up , noticing the King , he was looking at us as we were dancing , it was a classic ball with classic music , I wonder why he kept looking at me , I look down , to my height , he was taller

Another hour went by , the ball was still alive , some were dancing , eating or drinking , I was drinking some champagne but noticed that the prince was coming my way

"May I have a dance with you sir?"

I heard a woman's voice

"Of course M'lady"

I took her hand and dance with her , I could feel someone staring at me intensely , I shoved these thoughts away , I put my hand on her waist , she smiled , we dance for at least thirty minutes , I was exhausted , she was the third woman who I danced with , I took a glass of wine and drank it , I looked up and saw the prince infront of me

"It's the first time I've seen you here"

What was he getting to? Was he suspecting me?

"The ball is a bit..too swarm , would you want to have a drink with me upstairs outside?"

"Why not my prince? The pleasure will be all mine"

I followed him upstairs , I needed to stay on my guard , he was acting suspicious , thinking that he got his eyes on me is surprising but if we're alone , that would be even greater , I could silenced him for once and for all , the balcony was huge , a guard served us drinks , I refused

"Oh? Are you refusing my kindness?"

"I'm sorry my prince , I've drank too much"

"Have a last one , it's from me"

He was smiling , he was offering me a glass of champagne , I narrowed my eyes , perhaps he had put something in the drink , took a sip

"My prince"

A guard was talking to him , I spit the drink out of my mouth quietly , I poured the drink outside because who knows what he put in the drink , the guard went away , we were alone , he was looking at the moon , the night , it was warm yet so sombre , he seemed to be distracted , now it was my chance , I will not fail you father , I promised to protect our kingdom and to kill the prince , I had a knife with me , maybe a knife won't do much to someone powerful but my knife isn't the same as a normal knife , getting stabbed by it , it will froze the whole body , killing you with the cold breeze

Now was my chance , I took my knife out and tired to slice his neck but he dodged   he noticed my moves , I couldn't let him now , I needed to end this , I jumped and kicked him on the face but he blocked my feet , he grabbed my leg and pulled me , I fell down on my back , now that shit hurt , the fact that his mask was still on was surprising , my mask fell down , I narrowed my eyes , I moved towards him and grabbed his neck , he was trying to resist , he suddenly punched me on my face , he was bleeding , my knife had made a mark on his neck which was on the left side

I wipe the blood on my mouth , he wasn't strong as people said

"Ma-"

I run to him and tried to punched him but he blocked my moves , he suddenly grabbed both my wrist , we both fell down , I tried to kick him with my knee but he was blocking my knee from kicking him , shit , I was stuck

"Macau! What the hell!?"

My eyes widen , he know my name , how does he know? What the fuck!?

"How do-"

"Macau! It's me! Kim!"

My heart skipped a beat , he took off his mask , I stood up , I saw Kim , what the actual fuck?

"You're-"

"Yes , I am the prince of the sonorous kingdom"
