(Jacqueline's P.O.V.)

I blinked open my eyes and saw a beautiful sight, Harry. Still, his actions puzzled me.

"Harry? Why are you packing your suitcase?" I propped myself on my elbows, waiting for his response.

"Liam said something about an emergency? I guess we have to fly back to London, sorry babe. Better get packing."

He zipped up his suitcase and walked into the bathroom, followed by a closing door. I huffed, and stood from the bed, scratching my messy morning hair.

"Great." I muttered.

"I'll be right back Harry!" I screamed through the crack of the door, as I left our hotel room, leaving him no time to respond. I was about to become Nancy Drew and get to the bottom of Liam's sudden leaving, it was his choice to come here in the first place. I tapped my knuckle against the door twice before opening the door.

"Liam? Kenzie?"

No response. I walked in, resting my body against the door, until it closed. Kenzie was on the bed, on her phone. Her facial expression didn't seem very good.

"Can I ask what's wrong?"

I sat down beside her and placed my hand on her knee, staring at her until I got an answer. She shrugged, setting down her phone.

"Liam, he's acting so odd. Something's not right, ya know?"

She met eye contact with me.

"Where is he anyway?" I asked, pushing hair out of her face.

"He said he had to take a phone call. I don't know, he went to the lobby I think."

"Hm, I'll be right back, stay here. Okay?"

I stood to my feet, waiting for her approval.

"Okay, but wait! Happy birthday! I love you!"

I hugged her tightly and smiled, leaving the room, finding my way around the hotel. I spotted Liam in the exercise room, standing beside the water fountain. I squinted my eyes, and tiptoed through the door, taking a seat on a bench. He was talking in a low voice, a bit suspicious.

"Anything you'd like to tell me, Liam?"

He jolted his head towards me, covering his hand over the phone speaker.

"Uh, hang on." He whispered into the phone.

"Well it's actually a long story, so, uh."

He was already trying to snake his way out of this.

"No, no. Go ahead. I have time, plenty of time."

I crossed my legs and placed my hands on my knee.

"I have to go." He told the mystery character on the other line.

His eyes flicked between me and the phone.

"You too, bye."

I bit on my lip, waiting for a reply. He walked in front of me.

"So, you see, I got a call and Danielle-"

I stopped him before he could finish the sentence. I climbed to my feet, rolling my eyes.

"Don't say another word."

I walked for the door, when a hand gripped my wrist. I yanked it away, turning back to him. I looked between my wrist and his hand.

"Don't touch me."

"Please, don't tell her."

I scoffed at how ridiculous he was.

"I swear to god. I won't even hesitate telling her anything. Don't hurt her, that's a warning."

I walked out, finding my way back to Harry. I couldn't bring myself to tell Kenzie that, I don't know if that made me a bad friend, but I didn't want to be the one to break horrible news to her. I was confronted by Harry almost immediately.

"Where did you go? I told you, you need to pack."

He opened my suitcase and started putting my stuff inside.

"Just to, uh, say hi to Kenzie. See how her night went."

He nodded.

"Well, we have to catch a flight." He checked his watch.

"In like an hour. Hurry up babe."

I took my things from his hands.

"Okay, okay, I got it."

I sent him a small smile and began packing.

**

I groaned, kicking off my shoes as I walked through the door to our flat.

"Jet lag sucks." I rested my head against Harry's chest.

"I know this wasn't how you planned your birthday to be, but could I make you dinner, love?"

I nodded, taking my hand with Harry's. Liam had gone to Danielle's and Kenzie was very aware. She wasn't being her, and I could understand why. I don't know where their relationship stood at this point. She went straight to her room. Harry and I heard her cries. It was truly heart wrenching. I frowned at Harry, he had the exact look back at me.

**

"Thank you for dinner Harry, it was delicious." I said, laying down. He smiled, nodding.

"Happy birthday, I love you."

I placed a kiss on his cheek.
