Chapter note. the first 3 chapters have introduced you to the Three. Each faction is controlled, to a degree, by a real life person so decisions have to be made.

Hidden consequences.

The time it has taken to come together has left food short for all.

Decisions.

Terrill had to decide if he would fight knowing he was out numbered. Decide on a night attack or not. Decide if he would ride out in to the valley that surrounded his home or meet his enemy at Danna more Hold, his home.

Read on to see what they have decided.

Dunnamore Hold, it was only just coming in to view but Ehmet could finally see it. for days he had heard about it from his scouts and just the day before the final battle plan had been decided on while looking at plans of it but now it was truly before him. They had broken their final camp before the sun had come up and now they rode horses, wagons and marched and walked in to the eastern end of the valley that was the was Terrills home.

He was uncomfortable in the saddle this morning he could not quite get settled, he put it down to nerves. He had lead this army in to Vasted and besides the skirmish at Terrills family home and some minor engagements the army had yet been needed to deply but now it seemed the man he had been chasing had stayed to fight him.

The clear skys had gone days ago and now, although there had still not been rain everyone expected rain to come. Now Ehmet had brought such a host to this valley he did not want it. That host was moving out all around him.

Armoured Men and women on foot and on horse. His own Bronze Shields marched before him, their quality clear to see. Off to his right a division was climbing the side of the valley with the banner of the True Order, under the Grand Duchesses accompanied by cross bows of the Awoken Sun, those just behind his Bronze shields and to both of their flanks the rest of the Awoken Sun, armoured and mounted. Giants of the battle field behemoths of living armoured flesh. There were thousands, and Ehmet could not help but be in wonder of it all, he commanded an army of extreme might, yet he knew Terrill would hardly waist a moment contemplating it.

Now the sun was up and what he had marched for finally was before him he wanted it all to begin, enough of the doubt and conflicting thoughts, now was the time of action. The path the army had made would be easily followed in years to come, behind them the camp was already forming up a greater distance than they would have while traveling but already the followers were making there way to find a place to watch the event unfold. between that emerging town and the army which was taking up its positions was the army supply wagons, more valuable to the success of Ehmets campaign than ever before because food was already being managed ounce for ounce to keep the army feed and strong for as long as possible. What they would do beyond what ever lay before them at Dannamore Hold they could not be sure but it was unlikely the force could stay together because they were no more immune to the food shortages than any of the people of Vasted.

They had advanced all day down the valley and finally it had become clear that Terrill was not going to ride out and face them it appeared that if Ehmet was going to face Terrills riders then he would first have to breach the wide canal that now surrounded the Hold. Ehmet had dismounted and had stood staring as the light began to fail. with him was his Warden Remon gold, His ever present Valet Olivia Henderson and the Awoken Suns Commander at arms Nicolous Sear. As the day had gone on so Ehmets mood darkened filling with frustration. There would not be battle today, and all preparations were being made to secure camp for the night. He almost hoped that Terrill would come in the night, they were well prepared and his horses would come on to defended positions in the dark. Ehmet almost wished it but did not expect it.

No they spent the failing light considering what they could see. The bridges across the canals were defended by the pikes of Lord Iordans small alliance. Even so few could hold those bridges and behind them open grass land large enough for Terrill to move his mounted soldiers as he would wish and then at its center was the house and mote that surrounded it. take away the horses and there would be little to stop an army reaching the house but this place was built to be defended by horses and Terrill had more than anyone could muster. Ehmet fear that open space beyond the canal, he feared crossing it but he would.

Horses is what everyone expected to see but all that day they had seen few, scouts watching them and now that they had moved within striking distance of the canal still there were few to see. Reports told of a vast stable on the far side and there were regiments patroling the inner side of the canal but Terrils whole force was not accounted for. the only thing that was for certain was the Terrill himself was, his banner was high on his house and he had been seen riding a fine horse with his Cadar Guard. Terrill was there to fight Ehmet could feel it and he knew his old friend, he could only keep from a fight for so long and this one was at his home, the Terrill he knew would not simply allow anyone to set foot there against his will.
