Veruca Julia Salt

Veruca was born on March 17th. She is 12 years old. Her mother is Angina Salt, and her father is Rupert Salt, who is the owner of a business called "Salt's Nuts".

PHYSICAL APPEARANCE:

Veruca only wears dresses (or skirts). She won't wear pants unless she has to and won't make a big deal about it. Most of her dresses are colored. She doesn't like to wear black, white, gray, or brown unless she has to as well.

She wears her hair down with either a headband, a ribbon, or a pin shaped like a dragonfly or butterfly. What she wears in her hair will always match her dress. With her dresses she always wears black Mary Jane shoes.

Veruca decided to create a school uniform for herself despite knowing it isn't necessary. Going to school without a uniform would just feel too unusual for her. It is a black skirt, a black jacket, a white shirt, white leggings, tights, or pantyhose, and a specific pair of one of her five pairs of black Mary Jane shoes that she keeps just for school.

The only color is her necktie. She wears a different one every day. She has many different ones with many different colors, patterns, and designs. Her favorite one is sparkling pink.

Along with her uniform, she wears her hair tied back in a ponytail without any accessories.

SPEECH:

Veruca's mother is from Sweden where she was born, and her father is from England where she was raised. She can fluently speak both English and Swedish and has an English accent.

She usually will speak in English, but will sometimes speak Swedish to Angina, Wonka, Coco, Nyxie, and Julia since they can understand and speak it themselves.

Veruca doesn't really curse at all. (Although Coco for some reason encourages her to.) Not even when she gets really angry. But what she will do is talk faster, and talk a lot. Sometimes she gets so angry and talks so fast that no one can understand her.

Veruca, like many people in the Salt family, was taught to never call an adult by their first name. (Unless they're close friends or family members.) She calls the adults names like "Ms. Beauregarde", "Mr. Wonka", and "Mr. Teavee". If she does not know their name, then she is to address them as "Sir" or "Miss".

I also want to note that she says "elevator" instead of "lift" even tho she's English. I just find that interesting.

PERSONALITY/BEHAVIOR:

Ever since the nut room incident, her father has learned how to say "no" to her. But Veruca still needed to learn how to take 'no' for an answer, and not get angry about it. She was taught to understand the difference between wants and needs and to accept that she can no longer get everything she wants. She learned to not get so angry whenever things don't go her way, and how to handle herself when she does get angry. At times when she does gets angry, sometimes she'll still yell or have outbursts, just not every single time like before. Other times she'll just become passive-aggressive or show little to no emotion at all. Almost like she's trying to hide what she's feeling.
