Nyxie's favorite holiday is Halloween. she goes all out with it. When the clock strikes midnight on October 1st, she jumps up to start decorating.
Jack-o'-lanterns, skeletons, pumpkin scented candles, orange and purple lights. Animatronics of vampires, witches, and ghosts. Spooky music, fog machines, black cats, and all other cute and spooky things that go with the holiday.
Her love for Halloween has caused some problems in the past years. One year, she brought live bats into the house and said it was okay because they came from a pet shop that made sure they didn't have rabies. She kept insisting they were safe and promised to release them into the wild in November. Luckily the bats didn't cause any serious problems. They only filled the house with a few extra shrieks of terror that year when they flew over people's heads.
Another year, she lit way too many jack-o'-lanterns. One of them ended up staring a fire when it was accidentally knocked over. Again, no one was seriously hurt but the fire could've easily gotten out of control.
But there is one year that stands out the most.
It was just like any other October morning. Everyone wakes up to a house so heavily decorated, that it's like waking up in another world. Scarlett Beauregarde was the first to leave her bedroom. Something that she wasn't expecting to find that morning was her daughter's corpse.
Her screaming had several people running into the room. One of these people was her daughter, Violet, who was very much alive and well. It takes her a few minutes to calm down. Nyxie then explains to her that it's just a doll. A decoration. Something spooky she put out for Halloween.
The parents didn't think it was spooky. They thought it was disturbing and sickening. They were even more horrified when she told them that there were three others; and proudly showed them where they were.
The others were Mike, Veruca, and Coco. Every one of them looked to be in different levels of decomposition, and looked like they died in various different ways. The worst was Mike. His intestines were spilling out, his limbs were bent and broken in unnatural angles, and the left side of his body was burnt. The absolute worst thing about them was how disturbingly realistic they looked.
Nyxie bought them from a factory that makes dolls that look, feel, and move just like real humans. Her request wasn't questioned because dolls like these are often used as horror movie props.
The parents begged her to get rid of them. They even tried convincing Wonka to talk to her about it, but he didn't see the problem with it.
After two weeks of constant pleading, she finally took them to the backyard and burned them. She decapitated Mike's doll with a chainsaw and burned the head, but not the body. Thankfully they don't have any neighbors to witness this because they probably would've called the cops.
Only Violet and Veruca's dolls were burned. Mike and Coco wanted to keep theirs. Norman didn't approve of Mike's decision, but still reluctantly allowed him to keep his doll with the promise of never bringing it out of his room. He wanted Nyxie to remove the head because he thought it's facial expression looked to disturbing.
Nyxie still decorates for Halloween every year. Just not with children's corpses.
