Snowballs!

"Brr-! It's been getting colder each day."

Tsukiko said through chattering teeth. huffing out hot air from his lips, trying to warm his hands in hopes to fight off the cold air. Hina walks beside him, rubbing her hands together to warm them up as well.

"Let's head back to my place." Hina suggests, stuffing her hands back into her pockets. The two leave the school grounds and take a left where Hina's house is.

"Hina! Tsukiko!"

But the pair quickly stop upon hearing a familiar cheerful voice calling out to them, followed by footsteps behind them.

"Oh, Hey Ruby, Aqua!" Tsukiko greets with his usual grin. "Are you heading home? I thought it'll be cool to hang out today!" Ruby asked, practically beaming.

"I was just going to crash at Hina's place, but I'm up for hanging out!" Tsukiko then turns to the girl. "What about you, Hina?"

"Eh, I guess." Hina shrugs. "But we should find somewhere warmer. I'm practically freezing here."

"I know a place, follow me." Aqua inquires before quietly going a different direction, the others trailing behind him.

"I noticed you didn't bring your gloves today." Aqua points out to Hina. "You can tell?" Hina slightly tilts her head.

"I mean you're practically shaking." Aqua then proceeds to remove his gloves and hands them to Hina. "Here, you can use these."

Hina stares at them, bewildered but she takes them anyway. Slipping her hands into the gloves. "Thank you…"

"Hey, guys!" Another voice calls out from a distance, the group turning to see Kana catching up to them. "Ha… ha…" Kana lets out small heavy breaths before standing up straight.

"I just saw you guys from afar and thought I'll join you!" Kana smiles. "Oh, that's nice to hear, strawberry girl!" Tsukiko grins, wrapping an arm around her. "We're just heading somewhere to hang out, and it'll be cool if you join!"

"Stop calling me strawberry gir?!" Kana exclaims, flustered as she pulls away from Tsukiko's touch. "But, the nickname suits you…" Tsukiko pouts.

"I highly doubt people want to be nicknamed after a fruit!" Kana response. As the two continued their banter, two more other voices called out towards the group.

"Akane, Akuma. What are you doing here?" Aqua asks as the two walk towards them. "Oh, we're just hanging out! Akuma was just telling me some acting tips!" Akane smiles.

Akuma only nods before glancing at Hina, and then her hands. "Cute gloves…" Akuma mutters, which takes Hina by surprise. "Oh- Uhm… thanks."

Akuma just stares at Hina, seemingly disappointed by the reaction Hina gave him. But suddenly the bickering between Kana and Tsukiko seems to escalate before a girly squeal interrupts it.

"What the heck-! You didn't need to do that!"

Tsukiko exclaimed, small snowflakes in his hair. "Hah! Not so cocky now, eh?" Kana grins, another snowball in her hand.

"Ah- no! Save me Ruby!" Tsukiko squeals as he quickly gets behind Ruby and uses her as a human shield.

"Wait- no!" Before Ruby can protest, a snowball hits on her face, bullseye. "Woah- that's it!" Ruby quickly leans down and throws a snowball at Kana.

"Hey-! Oh you both are getting it!" Kana declares as the three start throwing snowballs at each other.

"Seems like they're having fun." Aqua slightly deadpans. "Should we stop them…" Akane suggested. "Eh, just leave them-"

Before Hina could finish her sentence, a snowball hits Aqua's face. Making everyone go silent. "Oh shit- sorry man!" Tsukiko quickly apologizes.

Aqua stays still for a few moments before sighing. "Alright then, I see how it is." Aqua slowly bends down and makes a snowball before menacingly approaching Tsukiko.

"Wait man- don't hit me!" Tsukiko exclaims before he runs away with Aqua trying to throw snowballs at him.

"Wow, that was unexpected…" Akane daid, astonished. "Should we stop them?"

"Let them." Hina responds before she gets hit by a snowball too. "Ah- Hina! I'm so sorry!" Ruby exclaims as she quickly hides behind Kana.

Hina blankly stares at Ruby before a small smile appears on her face.

"Hey Ruby, I wanna show you something."

And now Hina is chasing after Ruby with snowballs.

"Let's join them." Akuma said right after Hina starts chasing Ruby. Making a snowball and throwing it Akane. "Hehe! Hey!" Akane laughs before joining in.

Meanwhile a few adults from across the street witnessed the snowball and couldn't help but smile. "Kids being kids."

"Yep, it's so nice seeing young teens having fun!" Another person agreed.

"Ah youth..."
