The room was well lit, light from outside poured through the gigantic glass windows on each side of the wall. In the middle of the room stood a long, posh wooden table, stretching from one end to the other. Teachers and staff sat on each side of the table eating lunch. All turned around when Max and Lucas came in.

"You two have finally arrived." A tall wearing thick glass rushed up to greet them, holding out her hand, "I'm Professor Silas. I teach history and science of Mech."

Max shook the professor's hand followed by Lucas. He felt uncomfortable as all the other teachers stood up too. As always, he hated the attention.

"We're very excited to have new students..." Another said.

"You will surely like..." the teachers bombarded Max and Lucas with different self-introductions.

From their self-introduction, Max and Lucas learned a lot. There where fifteen teachers in total, in which, five are only for the rich. The learning curriculum is made up from science and history, Mech usage, weaponry usage and finally physical education. Some subjects have two teachers, for example, Mech usage, two teachers are needed to help students learn better.

"Are you hungry?" Mark asked after they exited the teacher's area, they already had a long morning, Max and Lucas were eager to have food.

"Should we join the students?" Lucas asked as they stepped on the green grass.

"You could go to the student dining room, but everybody is already finished." Mark replied, "There might be less variety of food. Not the best first day, right?"

"Any food is fine." Max replied, "I guess that we're not picky."

Mark smiled and told Max and Lucas to come with him. As they entered the dinning room, Max was amazed. Although everything was old fashioned, but Max still couldn't hide his amazement for the enormous dinning room.

"Are there this many students?" Max asked a bit confused, why was the dining room so large.

Mark shook his head and said, "No, there's no more than fifty students in the whole school, from new students to students that are about to graduate and join the Squad."

"Why is so big then?" Lucas asked as they sat down on the edge of the room.

"Well... The rich want to be separated from the poor, so they made the whole room gigantic." Mark answered then smiled and whispered, "Personally, I hate when the rich look down to the poor."

Max smiled too and thought, "At least I know Mark will be on our side."

Mark began to leave as Max and Lucas settled down on the long wooden benches. "After you finish, meet me at Central yard." Mark called then he added, "The place where you saw the statue of Sir Lancolt."

Max and Lucas mouthed 'okay' as they turned around and facing their lunch.

Saying it was a left over, the food still smells delicious. Max and Lucas began to wolf down the food, feeling their stomachs began to get full. The whole dining room was silent except the munching sounds of Max and Lucas eating.

The silence was broken when Max spoke, "Are you full yet?"

"After I finish this." Lucas replied, pointing at a cherry red desert.

"Let's go. You're eating too much!" Max moaned as he attempted to drag Lucas up but failed miserably, "Mark will be waiting for us!" He then said.

When they finally stepped on the Central yard, it was already late afternoon. The Central yard was still illuminated by the sun, only that the light was now dimmer, evening was coming. A clock on one of the buildings read four in the afternoon.

"How was your late lunch?" A cheerful voice called; it was Mark. "Looks like I estimated your eating speed." He joked.

"Where are we going now?" Max asked Mark as he and Lucas followed him through the castle.

"To meet other students, they are going to split you up into the groups." Mark replied.

"You mean the different animal teams?" Lucas continued to ask, getting a confirm from Mark.

"What is the probability that we are going got be in the same team?" Max asked curiously, he would loved to be in the same team as Lucas.

"Not small, that's all I know. I'm sure you'll make new friends here." Mark replied thinking.

"With the rich?" Lucas pretended to be disgusted, he (like Max) hated the rich after what they had been through.

"It's true that the rich and the poor don't get along very well, but there's more kids like you two, I promise." Mark ensured Max and Lucas.

Talking, they arrived at another stone part of the castle, Max guessed that it was at the end of the castle. After a walking around, Max began to understand the structure of the castle. The four flags marked where students lived according to houses. In the middle of the castle, surrounded by walls is the Central yard, any activity would likely be held there. The rooms in between the blue and yellow towers, which was direction Max and Lucas had came in, was the dining hall for students on ground floor. On top, Mark had told them that it was the classrooms.

"Come on, everybody is waiting for you two." Mark said as they entered a large space.

"Welcome our two new students!" A booming voice shouted followed by polite claps from students.
