"Who do you think is going to win?" Aria asked they crowded around the pitch. The Eagles and the the Snakes where in an intense match against each other. The score was seven to five, the Eagles were in the lead.

"I don't know, but I know that we'll have to face one of the two teams in the finals." Max said looking nervously at the score board. The Lions team had won against the Sharks before time was up, now they were watching the other match between the other two teams. Unlike theirs, the match was much more intense. Although the Snakes were in the lead at the start, but the Eagles had found a way to catch up.

"Guy, look at Blake closely!" Lucas suddenly pointed out, "He's doing something strange."

"True, when ever some other player comes close to Blake, they seemed to get pushed away." Caden admitted in shock, "It's like he has some kind of force field around him!" Blake dribbled the ball up field in a straight line, but no one in the Snakes team seemed to be able to stop him, he easily entered the box a picked up the hyperball in triumph. He took a step back a threw the ball. To Max's surprise, Blake threw the hyperball quicker than he could see it, before he could realise anything, the hyperball had already landed in the goalpost, giving the Eagles team one more point towards victory.

"That speed of the ball is inhuman!" Max exclaimed quietly, "It's impossible to be that quick!"

"True, but how is Blake able to do it?" Aria agreed then questioned. Nobody had an answer, even Caden, who knew most things, looked confused.

The match carried on, Max suspected nobody noticed what was happening to Blake except them. He knew that there is a small possibility that Blake is innocent. In the end, the Eagles had easily won the match, with the score reading ten to seven. Even though the Snakes managed to chase back two points, but they still lost.

"Now it's time for the Hyperball final, and the final of the first event of the competitions!" Professor Reynolds yelled into his microphone, "Who will be the winner?"

"Should we tell Professor Reynolds about Blake?" Max asked quietly to Jaxon, who was beside him.

Jaxon shook his head firmly, "Don't, we have no evidence, he won't believe us."

"Yeah, maybe we're wrong." Lucas then added. Max looked at his teammates, he wanted to believe them but he knew that something fishy was going on.

Max shook his head to get rid of that thought as he, Lucas, Aria and Jaxon stepped up the pitch. Facing them was Blake, his gang and another tall and aggressive looking player. His shadow could easily cover Max. Max stood where he was, he was extremely nervous about this match, now, he felt as if sweat was pouring out from his forehead and the match hadn't even started. If the Lions won this match, then they would have a ginormous chance of winning the competition.

"Ready, set go!" Professor Reynolds announced to everyone watching. Max waited for the Professor Reynolds to start saying 'go' before he ran of towards the ball which sat in the middle. To his surprise, Blake already had it under his feet. He had started running way before he should have.

"Cheater!" Max muttered under his breath as he gave Blake an angry stare. Max looked around, but nobody seemed to think that Blake was cheating. Aria began to defend as usual, Lucas followed behind. Jaxon watched every movement nervously as he stood in front of the goal post. Max calmed down a began to help his teammates in defence. He rushed towards Blake as fast as he can, trying to stop him, but when he got closer, he felt a strong force pushing him away. He couldn't get close to Blake. The same thing happened to Aria and Lucas. They stood in front of Blake, waiting for him to come closer, but when he did, they were pushed away too. Max stare opened mouthed at what was happening, he suddenly realised that Blake had used the same trick the last match.

"But how?" He thought as Blake dribbled into the box, untouched. This was greeted by a wave of cheers from the nobles and some nervous gasps from the poor. Blake smiled evilly and picked up the soft hyperball, he held it in his right hand, lifted the ball over his shoulders and with a light flick of his wrist, he let go of the ball. Impossibly quicker than what Max had imagined, the hyperball flew with great precision to the top right corner of the goal post, all this happened in less than a millisecond. Jaxon reached to where the ball went, but was far to late, the hyperball and already taken its place inside the goal post.

"Seven to zero!" Professor Reynolds announced, adding tension to the match. Blake continued to score one point after another, no matter how hard Max and his team tried, they couldn't stop him. When they had the ball, they couldn't get into the box either. Max clenched his fists, he knew that Blake was doing something suspicious, but he didn't know what. He glared as Blake dribbled quickly towards him, his eyes full of concentration, he bit his lips so hard that it was swelling, Max could tell that he was controlling something. Max lowered his body ready to try and defend Blake, that's when he suddenly noticed something he hadn't saw before. Blake's right hand was glowing really faintly, the light was a light yellow, really close to skin colour. A dreading thought entered Max's brain, "Was Blake using his Mech tool to cheat?"

Fweet! A whistle blow signalled the end of the match, the Lions had lost miserably. the score read ten to two. Max and Lucas had managed to each score one goal but that was far from enough.

"I know what Blake is doing to keep us away!" Max announced angrily after the match. "He's using his Mech tool to cheat!"

Lucas stare at him thoughtfully, "Are you sure, maybe-" But before he could finish, Caden interrupted.

"Max is right!" Caden exclaimed wide eyed. "I was wondering what was happening, Max's point is so far the only possibility. Blake is for sure cheating!"

Suddenly a mean voice boomed behind them, "Me, cheating?" Blake pointed at himself and said with a smug grin on his face, "Never! I always play fairly." Max felt anger boil inside him, how dare Blake act so humbly! Before he could react, Blake had already disappeared.
