"Where are we going?" Max asked in a agitated voice.
"I don't know!" Lucas replied, he tried his best to look around but all he saw was a endless corridor, its walls seemed to narrow with each step. Suddenly they stop still, Max tilted his head and looked ahead, there was nothing in front of them other than the endless corridor.
"Why did we stop?" Max questioned in confusion, the goblets seemed to be in a hurry before. Before Lucas can answer, Max heard the symbolic sound of a trap activating, clang of wheels as they clashed into each other. He watched as a whole area of the ground collapsed in front of them. What was a corridor became a dark and bottomless abyss. Then Max felt himself being pushed towards the walls on the side of the corridor. To his surprise, he successfully passed through, when he looked back, he saw that the wall had been a door and the whole corridor was part of a trap that was fatal to non-natives.
The goblets said something to Max and Lucas but neither of them understood it. They stood in the middle of a brightly lit room. The robed figure stood in one corner of the room. He waved at the goblets, who immediately bowed and left the room. The whole room fell silent.
"Who are you and why are you here?" Max heard the figure say.
"Are you a Draknar?" Max ignored the question and asked.
"A Draknar? No way!" The figure said with a mighty laugh, " A Draknar is a times bigger than me, no, I'm a human like you." Saying that, he flipped of his hood, revealing his face.
"As I asked before who are you and why are you here?"
Max and Lucas exchanged a bewildered glance before Max stepped forward, his voice echoing in the peculiarly quiet room. "We are travellers looking for something. Who are you?"
The human figure nodded thoughtfully, his gaze shifting between Max and Lucas. "I see," he murmured. "You are not the first outsiders to stumble onto this planet. My name is not important. But we could make a deal. You help me with the Draknars and I'll provide you with the black crystal. "
Max and Lucas exchanged a curious glance, the mention of the Draknars sparking a flicker of fear in their hearts. They had heard from Kelen, their guide, tales of these giant, merciless beings who ruled Draconis.
"What do you need help with?" Lucas asked confused.
The robed figure's lips curled into a knowing smile as he began to unravel his tale.
"Draconis, you might have heard, is one of the richest planet in resources. Minerals such as power crystals, it also has one of the vastest biodiverse environment. Sadly, the planet is wasted. The Draknars kept everything to themselves, and because they were so powerful, none could defeat them. All I need you to do, is to sneak into a specific mine, where there are more powerful black crystals. Take two or three pieces for me and the rest you can keep."
"Why do you need the black crystals? Don't you already have enough?" Max inquired with a confused face.
"Those aren't real and powerful black crystals, they were but now they turned into useless black stones." The robed figure explained, "What I need them for isn't important to you."
Then the robed figure leaned in closer, their voice dropping to a whisper. "I have devised a plan, a risky one that will require all of our cunning and strength. Are you with me?"
