Tough decision with heavy heart

Next day morning at Virats room.

He woke up around 9.30 AM.
Yes, too late for him, but after everything that happened yesterday, he himself dint know when he fell asleep.
After freshening up he went to Rohit's room.

To his surprise Rohit had woken up already and freshened up.

"Tell me the truth, did u sleep yesterday?!" Asked Virat.

"Haa.. little bit... But not a good sleep" said Rohit rubbing his eyes.

"None of the Indians wud have had a good sleep yesterday, I'm sure" said Virat, coming and sitting near Rohit on the bed.

"What about the kids?" asked Virat initiating the topic.

Virat- "For the first time I feel to not follow Mahi bhai's advice Ro! It will be too harsh on the kids, if we don't go and talk to them"

Rohit- "I think we should follow Mahi bhai's advice Vi. Kids should get used without.... without...us. We can't be with them forever.... Can we ?"

Realising the point, Virat had a faint smile on his face with watery eyes.

"I know Ro, Mahi Bhai did the same thing with us after 2019 WC semi. He dint come to talk to us after the loss like he did for other losses. Now I understand why he dint. We were very hurt them , do u remember Ro?"

Rohit just shook his head, holding Virats hands, remembering that day,when they very badly waited to speak with their Mahi Bhai, but Mahi Bhai excused himself everytime they came fr speaking.

Apparently Mahi Bhai advised Virat and Rohit to let the kids deal alone with this loss without their support, cos they should get used to it to be without Virat and Rohit.
He knew his kids time is ticking in cricket and this was inevitable.

"I'll just go and speak to KL, Ro.... He  along with Surya and Jassi should take care of the kids from now on" said Virat getting up from the bed.

"He's our kid too ,Vi.... He should be able to do that without us telling him. Your not going anywhere Vi. Let them learn to handle it by themselves" said Rohit , with a heavy heart.
Rohit himself was dying to go and console the kids, but he knew his Mahi Bhai was right.
"The kids need to learn to be without them"

After having breakfast in Rohit's room and having a chat with Anushka, Vi was going back to his room. He stopped infront of KL's room.

" Rohit and Mahi Bhai are wright" thought Virat, but he was feeling restless in KL's case.
KL reminded him of his Mahi Bhai..... Both of them don't let out a lot of emotions and according to Virat it was injurious to mental health.
His Mahi Bhai was and and has always been strong enough to handle such things.
But his Rahuliya?!

After a lot of thoughts, he decided to go with Mahi bhai's and Rohit' s decision.

Let them deal with all this alone.

At KL's room.

He was still watching the highlights of the finals, sitting on the floor.
He dint sleep at all. He couldn't....

He finally got up from watching that stupid highlights when he got a call from Athiya
She somehow convinced him to get up and have breakfast. He finally gave in when she threatened, to come to team hotel  or call Virat/Rahul Bhai, to take him for breakfast.

"What's ur problem Rah? I know it's tough for you, but you can't be doing this to yourself. Not just you! Everyone will be feeling the same, All  of you have to move on and remember, ur no more a junior in the team."

That's when realisation struck .

" He himself couldn't understand what was his problem. One side he couldn't face Virat, Rohit and Rahul Bhai. Other side he was dying to talk to them. Something was stopping himself from crying, he wanted to cry out loud, but he wasn't able to and that was suffocating him alot"
