// small context in this story: singto owns a unit in an apartment building, but he sometimes prefers to stay at his family's house.

Singto was truly grateful for the kids. They are what rainbows are made of. They are the light of the world.

And he's not just saying that because his favorite nephew is currently the most adorable kid in the world with the most adorable man in the world. And if he promises to be the best fucking uncle in the universe to Mario's parents tomorrow, they don't have to know why.

After a long day at the amusement filled with tons of sweets, both literally and figuratively, Singto and Krist had decided to call it a day. They also noticed Mario being groggy when they went on their last ride on the Ferris wheel, and soon, Mario was hanging onto Krist's side and walking while his eyes were closed.

Singto started, "Oh, let me—"

"No, I've got it," Krist hoisted him up in his arms and carried him while positioning his head to fit comfortably on his shoulders.

Singto was going to combust into flames. Oh dear, Krist was truly a sight to behold with kids. He added another mental birthday gift to Mario for his 21st birthday now. It started at 7th.

Together, they walked silently back to the car. Singto carefully placed the bag of merchandise purchased from the park, and Krist strapped Mario carefully on the seatbelt, placing a pillow on his lap which the boy cutely hugged.

A good hour later, Mariow was fully asleep at the back, and the two adults had been making hushed small talk to not disturb Mario's sleep. Singto loved every second of it. Well, he was never really picky when it came to spending time with Krist. Any second with him is precious.

In his head, he probably sounds like an unbelievable sap, but Singto was never ashamed. Every day he repents for what he lost, and he's bound to make it right again.

After dropping Mario off at his parents', Krist went on the route to Singto's place. The man was thrilled that he was still with him at this late in the night. So he'd be damned if he doesn't try to stretch it out.

"Noodles?" Singto asked, in the silence of the air. Krist's eyes fluttered to him, and he looked forward again, only giving him a slight nod and opening the radio. Singto murmured to himself, "Yes!" He should have patted himself on the back but he was going to overdo it.

Noodles was code for Mae Manaow's.

Given the fact that they went there with hostility not too long ago, it feels weird to go there again. But They both loved the noodles there. It was one of their favorite things to do together. It was why they were so close to Mae Manaow in the first place.

Seeing Krist drive in the dim of the night was breathtaking. Singto didn't even have the time to school his expression before Krist was turning to him, having already parked just outside the shop and Krist also paused as he noticed the burning stare.

Because it was dark, Singto didn't have the sharp eyesight to witness Krist's subtle blush forming on his face.

When they were seated at their usual booth, it was good that it wasn't packed today. Just the usual locals, who recognized them and waved. They were going to call their order when they heard a loud yell, "They're HERE?"

Then there was a sharp clang of pans, and the familiar Mae dashed to their table, wearing her apron and smiling at them, "You're back!"

"Yeah!" Krist laughed. Singto laughed as well, looking warmly at the woman who had seen them grow together. Manaow gleefully said, "I'll be right up with your usual! You're in luck because we just had a fresh batch of shrimp."
