The first thing that the woman felt was how stiff her body was. Slowly opening her eyes, she sees the ceiling of her cabin, which was slightly lit from the fire in the fireplace. Looking over, she sees her pets lying in her bed around her.
"You're finally awake." A light voice made her look over to the fireplace. There stood a lean man. He stood about 5'5. "It was quite the hasle to carry you in here. How are you so heavy?"
He man says with a chuckle. "Anyway, you did well holding the demon off. I patched you up." He approached the bed. The pets looked uncomfortable and on guard but didn't move to harm him. "My name's Akio. Demon Slayer rank Tsuchinoto."
Akio looked proud, and the woman looked at him with a blank expression before speaking. "I'm Vos. Wood cutter." Vos winced as she tried to sit up with Akio's help.
"What happened to the demon?" Vos asked, looking worried. "He is dead. I have decapitated him." Akio answered without hesitation. Vos sighed and reached a hand out to pet one of her pets. "These threes almost tore me apart when I entered your home." Akio said with a laugh.
"They calmed down once they realized I was here to help." Vos smirks and introduces her pets, pointing to each one. "That Ghost, Ink, and Tali. I'm sorry if they caused too much of a problem after your help."
"It's fine. They are loyal." Akio states, and Vos nods in response. A moment of silence passed until he spoke up again. "You seem pretty comfortable with the situation."
Vos looked at Akio, "I have been defending my home from demons for 15 years." Akio raised an eyebrow and looked at her curiously. "It must have been difficult not having the right tools for that. I'm surprised you have made it this long alive. Have you heard of the demon slayer Corp?"
Vos looked had a look of confusion that made Akio chuckle. "I guess you haven't." He paused and looked at Vos as if to assess her. "Would you like to be able to kill demons?" The question made Voss' expression change quickly from confusion to serious. "Yes"
