Jayy's POV
I lay in my bed feeling extremely frustrated. Dahvie still hadn't left his room. It's almost been a week!
Thats when I called Haley and told her to come over.
"Jayy!" she bellowed as she barged right through the front door.
"Haley." I greeted as I walked down stairs to find her glaring at me.
"I could tell something was up when you called me. Tell me!" she demanded pushing me back. I sighed and sat down on the couch, waiting for her to follow.
"Jayy just get on with it, I'm starting to worry!" she exclaimed.
"It's Dahvie. He told me something." I whispered, still in shock myself.
"Go on.."she said warily.
"He told me he loved me." I stated and she grinned widely.
"That's fantastic!" she said, "Oh my god! Finally you guys realized how much you love each ...wait." she trailed off, the smile leaving her face slowly, "Why aren't you smiling and jumping for joy? What the hell happened after that?" she asked. I sighed.
"I froze. I was just so shocked! I didn't say anything to him, I just stared. And then he ran away from me. That's when I knew I had screwed up. Hayle...I love him so much..." I whispered, barely managing to get the words out.
"Jayy..." Haley whispered, and I think the only thing keeping her from yelling at me was the saddened expression on my face, the guilt. She could see how badly this was affecting me.
"Let me go speak to him.." she whispered again, patting my shoulder once before standing up and making her way up the stairs. I heard a few knocks and she asked to come in.
To my surprise I heard the the door open and close. I hurried to the stairs and looked up. Sure enough Haley wasn't standing outside of Dahvie's door, which meant he had let her into his room. I started pacing back and forth in the living room, worried about what was going on in there. Was Dahvie okay? Would he want to talk to me? Would he even want to see my face right now? What if he hates me?
I continued my pacing as thoughts raced around in my mind. I was so preoccupied I almost didn't notice Haley open and close his door behind her. She walked down the stairs and placed her hands on my shoulders to stop me from my pacing. I looked up, startled.
"I'm going home, Jayy." she announced and headed to the front door.
"Wait!" I called out. She paused with her hand on the handle, and she turned towards me.
"Did you talk to him? What did he say? Is he coming out of his room? Is he okay?" I blurted out all of these questions in a jumble of words. I stared at Haley expectantly, waiting for an answer to any of my questions. She smiled sadly at me. Turning around again she said a simple sentence, not answering any of my questions but still giving me a shred of hope.
"Jayy, his door is unlocked now." and then she left the house. I froze and stared at the stairs leading to his room. I could go talk to him. I could explain.
I rushed up the stairs, stopping in front of his door, taking a deep breath in to calm myself. I listened for any sounds.
Then I gently pushed on the door, finding it unlocked just as Haley had promised. Opening the door even more until it was wide open, I saw Dahvie right away. He lay in his bed curled up in a little ball to the side. He looked exhausted, and sad. It hurt me to know I was the reason.
"Dahvie." I whispered, walking towards his bed. He looked up at me and sat up quickly. He hastily tried wiping his tears away.
"What do you want?" he asked, sniffling. I went and sat beside him on the bed, pulling him to me.
