locking and desperate
with passion that makes you tick
Tick to live another day
Tick to make you pray
that they are safe,
that they are brave
in everything they do when you are gone
and they lay down in your front yard on the lawn
Hoping, praying that you could live another day
But knowing that it's not meant anyway
You die when you die
And you lie when you lie
Saying forever you'll be with them
Is like saying forever you'll miss them
Once you're gone you'll never come back
And once they move on, they won't look back
Was that love ever love at all
Or was it just another call
To mess with your emotions
Or to make up unmeanigful notions
To say you love
Is like a flying dove
If you really meant it
