The light streams into Ginny's room, making it more visible than in the night. There's one bed, pushed up against the wall which is painted light blue.
Harry wondered why her room wasn't pink, he was pretty sure that it was a rule that all girls should like pink and want pink everything.
Off to the side was a vanity, and strangely enough, it looked like it had been painted messily. The paint was clotted and runny, and it had dripped onto the glass that made up the table part.
Her closet was halfway open, and Harry could make out several things he'd never seen her in. Such as, a yellow sundress that had white ribbon and lace, it also looked like it was for a sixteen year old. There were plenty of Weasley sweaters, not one of them pink, and a load of jeans that looked surprisingly big. Most of her tee shirts were white, or blue, or yellow. He realized, she had all hand me downs.
He felt an idea forming in his mind, he beamed and sighed as he looked at his best friend who was still curled up next to him.
His heart stopped as he heard a knock. Ginny sat up groggily and the door started to creak open. He jumped out of the bed and fumbled with the invisibility cloak. They'd catch him!
Out of the corner of his eye, he saw Ginny grab a pillow and chuck it at the door. "NOT DECENT" She shouted. He pulled the cloak over his head and grabbed his Firebolt as Mrs Weasley insisted it was her. He jumped out of the window with one short goodbye to Ginny, and took off to his house.
He looked back in time to see Mrs Weasley open the door and look around the room intently. Ginny had grabbed her longest bathrobe like she really had been changing when Mrs Weasley came in. Harry smiled and admired her for her brilliance.
The Burrow drifted from sight and he raced back home, landing on the patio outside of his room and throwing his Firebolt where it was and his dad's cloak where he had hidden it.
He rushed into the bathroom and quickly changed, dressing in jeans and a green tee shirt. He sighed and flopped onto his bed.
His mum came running in moment later and looked around frantically. She caught sight of him and wrapped him in a hug.
"Harry! Where have you been?" She asked. Harry pretended to be confused.
"I've been right here, I just got out of the loo" He explained. She shook her head and nodded.
"Oh, okay sweetie" She said, still looking at him weirdly. He sighed when she left, flopping back down on the bed and drifting to sleep.
He was in a forrest, one he recognized that bordered the Burrow. The trees formed a canopy that went over a small, shimmering pond.
He looked over and saw a figure, in the sundress he had seen in her closet though it was more fitting, Ginny Weasley swished her feet through the water. He looked down and realized he was wearing a white tee shirt, and dark jeans. He felt it cliche, like he had just stepped out of a movie from the fifties.
He took a deep breath and walked up to her. As he sat, he couldn't help but notice the way her hair fell down her shoulders, or how the pond reflected in the pools of brown that were her eyes. She looked up and smiled, taking his hand.
"Hello Harry" She said. He smiled and looked around before answering.
"Hello, Dragonheart" He said with an impish grin. She looked into his eyes, lost in their deep depths,
"How do you know-" she cut herself off. "Ah" She said in recognition. He smiled down at her and she felt suddenly very awkward.
He turned away, his face falling when she avoided his gaze, and took off his shoes, dipping his feet into the cool water.
The sun was shining down on them from a slightly cloudy sky. He leaned back until he was laying and watched the clouds drift in the sky. She copied him and watched as the clouds changed to whatever they wanted.
This was slightly embarrassing for Harry, as he was thinking of Ginny and soon, a cloud appeared that looked very familiar. He quickly thought of the cloud being a rabbit and it turned again, leaving him relieved.
"I'm dreaming, right?" Harry asked. Ginny looked up into his eyes.
"We are" She corrected. He looked into her eyes and suddenly realized that this world, was real. He was really talking to Ginny Weasley. But she wasn't in the flesh, he realized, she was in her house asleep just like him.
"Your birthday is coming up"
"Yeah, but yours is closer, Harry"
"I thought maybe, if you wanted, I could, er, take you shopping. I, er, I'm sorry, but, er, I noticed you had a lot of boys hand me downs and I just-" He started rambling but was silenced as Ginny put a hand over his mouth.
"I'd love to Harry, if it wouldn't be too much trouble" She added. He smiled and nodded, wrapping his arm around her shoulders and slowly drifting to sleep.
Or drifting awake
