Welcome to part 3 my babies 🤍
Alex povHer voice sent an unsolicited shiver throughout my entire body. Why was she this close? Could she sense what her presence was doing to me right now. That i pt alone was enough to make me take a dip into the deep end and lose control.
The scent of warm vanilla and honey swarms around me. God she smells heavenly.
"Cat got your tongue now Ms. Rose— or have you had your fill of gossiping about my personal life for the day?" Now sitting directly beside me she hums while placing her chin in the palm of her hand, leaning towards me.
My words are caught in my throat as her gaze deepened.
"Well then, if you have nothing to say now, then I suggest you keep it that way permanently," she says lowly with a mischievous glimmer in her eyes.
In a world where I always have something to say, right now I'm finding it extremely hard to communicate with the enticing woman that is sitting next to me.
Say something dumb ass!
"I wasn't gossiping."
That's what you choose to say?
"So what would you call it then?" Her composure still holding, except her eyes are now telling a new story. Is this a challenge?
"I would call it curiosity," leaning forward more in my chair, my gaze holding onto hers. We're now eye to eye.
I could stare into them all day. Her eyes are so mesmerizing. For a moment neither of us break contact. I wonder what she's thinking. Is she feeling the same hypnotic pull that I feel?
Am I being ridiculous? Absolutely.
Devyn obnoxiously begins to clear her throat and the staring contest is drawn to a conclusion. Cock block.
"Well you know what they say about curiosity—It kills." She smoothly replies. Leaning back in her chair she turns her attention towards a visually uncomfortable Devyn.
"You said you spent 5 minutes on the phone pleading with her that night right?"
Her tone was strong but not aggressive, as if she was 100% certain of the next words that would escape from her plump glossed lips.
"Not a minute less," Devyn responded unsure of where this is going.
She's not alone.
"Then thats all the time you have to convince me of this 'rebrand' situation, not a minute more."
Badass.
"I can convince you in 3," Devyn chuckles confidently. I don't think you can.
"Try me." She quips back confidently.
