Milan sat on the sofa in her living room, she was in deep thought. The woman had been enjoying her off day. She had scheduled a day off from her salon in advance. She had been taking advantage of the opportunity as well.
Two weeks had passed by. Which meant the end of September would be approaching. She didn't think she would be able to get through this month mentally but she had done better than she expected.
She had been in great spirits. Milan was still adjusting but she could honestly say she was doing better than before. She wasn't stressing about shit and surely wasn't dwelling on the past. She had been taking it one day at a time.
Milan had reached that level of peace.
The salon had been doing exceptionally well. She had the entire salon staff and clientele to appreciate for that.
Milan used the stylus to maneuver through apps on her IPad Pro. The full glass of wine happened to be in her left hand as she slowly sipped. She had been reading through emails. She had plans on opening another location.
This salon would focus on the many other services in the beauty industry that didn't include hair. This had been something she planned to do when she would be a year with being a salon owner. Even though the salon had only been open a couple months.
She had been sitting on the idea for quite some time. Milan didn't want to put too much on her plate. The salon had been doing good but there would always be times where it wasn't in the long run. Things could happen and she wanted to make sure she was in the best space financially if that ever occurred.
Both of her Apple devices sounded off indicating she was receiving an incoming text message. The two were logged into the same ICloud which meant everything would appear on each device.
The message happened to be from Samuel. She rolled her eyes before dismissing the message.
Milan happened to be ignoring Samuel. Especially since she found out about his newfound girlfriend.
Then to find out through social media. Which was even more surprising. She would've respected him more if he would've been upfront.
She wasn't tripping at the fact that he happened to be in a relationship but the simple fact of the matter he still had the nerve to be fucking around with her while he was in a relationship. He had did that shit bad. She didn't expect him to pull no hoe shit like that.
Especially since they had just had sex less than two weeks ago.
It didn't make her feel no different about him. She was honestly good off him.
Milan stopped communicating with him a couple of days ago. She stopped answering his calls and text messages. He would send flowers to her salon as well.
None of those things he was doing were moving her into the direction of communicating with him. It honestly made her disgusted with him. He wasn't no different from every other man in Baton Rouge.
She couldn't deny she did feel played but that was about it. Her feelings were hurt.
As she closed out the tabs on her IPad before sitting it beside her with the stylus attached. She sits the glass of wine on the coaster.
Loudly, both devices began ringing. She couldn't help but roll her eyes. Assuming that the call was from Samuel, her demeanor changed when she seen the call happened to be from Kourtlyn.
She answered.
"Hello." She answers while putting her phone on speaker.
"I'm outside. Unlock the door."
