"My beautiful baby."
Celeste compliments Selah while trying to get her ready. Selah was lying on her changing table staring at Celeste. She looked at her with widened eyes.
"My little love, tell me, do you feel the way my past aches? When you lay on me, can you hear the way my heart breaks?" Celeste sang to Selah, who smiled.
"You like mommy's singing?" Celeste questions her daughter. She couldn't help but laugh as she tickles Selah's belly. The door opened, and Damion walked inside of the room.
"You need help getting her ready?" Damion questions her while watching Celeste pick up Selah.
"No but can you grab those shoes I have sitting over there."
Celeste looks towards Damion and seen he was dressed. The LSU purple jersey looked good on him, it happened to be the perfect size. He dressed the jersey with Amiri black denim jeans and white Air Forces.
As three chains hung around his neck. Including the one he never took off. Even as well as the gold Rolex that happened to be gifted to him.
Most would deemed his attire to not be much of anything but Celeste would beg to differ. The game day look suited him. She couldn't deny her man was good looking.
"You sure? I'll handle her while you get yourself ready." Damion asked while grabbing the small box that consisted of her shoes. Celeste sat down in the chair in the corner of the room with Selah on her lap.
Celeste nods. "Yes, only thing I have left to do is her hair which isn't going to take long and I'll only have to put on my clothes." She says as she grabbed everything she needed to do Selah's hair.
"Damn guh." Damion grumbles as he takes himself a seat on the couch. "You don't trust me to do her hair? I could do some ponytails and shit." Damion says as he looks towards her. Celeste couldn't help but laugh.
"You'll never touch my baby's hair again. The last time you had her with six crooked plaits."
"She gotta lot of hair." Damion reasons.
Which was true. Selah's hair was so full and silky. Celeste had experienced heartburn her entire pregnancy. She wasn't surprised since her mother experienced the same exact thing when she was pregnant with Celeste.
Selah sat calmly in Celeste lap as she had her small fist in her mouth. Usually she would become agitated whenever it was time to do her hair. Selah was mean just like her father.
"How long you plan on being at this tailgate shit?" He asks as he watches her style Selah's hair in the desired parts.
"Most likely until the game starts."
"Damn." Damion groans while shaking his head. "You gone be out there all day." Damion complains as he looks at her.
"No I will not. I'll be spending time with y'all before I make my way to the tailgate. Plus I probably won't be out there that long since we going out tonight." Celeste explains as she placed the mini satin bows in Selah's hair.
"I have to drive out to South Carolina tonight."
Celeste quickly glares at him while she cleaned up the small mess she made from doing Selah's hair.
"When did this come about?" Celeste asks as she looks at him.
Damion sighed. "This morning. I'll be back tommorow evening." Damion says as he stands up and walks towards Celeste and picks Selah up from her lap.
The beautiful baby girl couldn't help but laugh as her father planted kisses on her face.
"You say that like it's just a drive and back." Celeste says as she stands up from the seat. "What time you leaving out tonight? Will you be able to take Selah to my mama's house?" She asked as she grabbed the box of shoes.
