Husk POV:
The rest of the day was a blur for me. I had a smile on my face all day, it never left. I just couldn't believe Angel actually said yes. Its not like I was expecting him to reject me, I just didnt know what to expect from him, but I was so incredibly happy. On the bus home, Angel and I sat beside each other and talked the whole time until I had to get off at my stop. I looked back before I got off and I saw Angel blow me a kiss. My face started burning up with a deep blush that could be seen through my feathers. I stepped off and had my head facing the sidewalk, smiling stupidly. "Are you ok, Husk?" Niffty asked. I had forgot that Niffty and Alastor were beside me. I looked up, the red still very visible. "I'm fine-" "You're face is burning red! You're not ok!" She cut me off. Alastor calmed Niffty down and gave me a sly wink. I knew then that he knew what was going on between Angel and I. I felt a little embarassed by that, but Niffty didnt ask further after that. I turned down my street, waving to them as they continued onto their homes. I tried returning my face to normal before I got home because my father would've definitely noticed and questioned me about it. I can't lie about it cause he somehow always knows when I'm lying. I managed to return my face to normal colors and wipe the large smile off my face before I stepped through the door. My father was sitting on the couch, coffee in one hand and newspaper in the other. Probably stock markets or something. My father looks exactly like me, but bigger. And one of his wings is missing. He's never told me how he lost his wing. I put my bag down. "Homework?" He asked. He always asks this. "No," I replied. "Good." He didnt speak after that. That's normally how we talk. Couple word questions or sentences. I went upstairs to my room. I spend most of my time in here, the only times I come down normally to eat or if I have to go somewhere. Reaching under my bed and pulling out whatever, normally rose or red wine. I didnt really care but a bottle of absinthe was pulled out. This shocked me a bit because I dont normally drink absinthe. My phone pinged with a message. I reached over and grabbed it to check, and it was Angel. "Do you like the little gift I got you?" Did he get me the absinthe? If he did, how was it under my bed? "The absinthe?" I replied. "Yep!" "How?" I was honestly confused. "I bought it yesterday and put it in your bag before you got off the bus." That was smart on Angel's part. Whatever alcohol I buy, I hide in my bag and just toss it all under my bed without looking. "I remember you mentioning how you dont look at what goes under your bed," Angel texted. "Well, thank you." I hadn't had absinthe in a while so I was excited as I popped off the cork.
