It's been a few weeks since the last Robotnik incident.
Sonic, Crimson, and their families are at the baseball field, ready for a fun day out.
"It's truly a beautiful day for baseball here in Green Hills." Sonic narrates over the microphone. "An exciting lineup today with the debut appearance of four new players!"
"On first base, is the silent but deadly, Void the Lynx!"
Void looks around, observing the area they were at.
"On third base is the most fearsome warrior on Earth, Skye the Mega Wolf!"
"What is the hedgehog doing, exactly?" He asks.
"Commentating. They point out the actions of what players do." Crimson, from second base, explains.
"For what reason?" Skye shrugs his arms with confusion.
"Ugh, I can't with this guy." Crimson mumbles, playfully.
"On the mound, rookie sensation from across the galaxy, Miles 'Tails' Prower!"
Tails hits the ball against his pitchers glove with a smile and a slight wave.
"Facing off against the powerhouse, Knuckles the Echidna."
Knuckles steps up to the plate and looks at the bat in confusion.
"Um, I don't understand. Why am I angry at the enemy ball?" He asks.
"You're not angry. You just want to hit it as hard as you can, and then run around the bases." Sonic explains.
"Maybe not as hard as you can!" Crimson calls out.
"But if his quest ends where he is standing, why run at all?" Skye asks.
"Ugh, I can't with these guys. Why do I even try?" Sonic looks away, speaking to himself.
"This is just a game. We're out here having fun." Maddie calls out.
"Nothing to be on your guard about, just relax, let the energy flow through you." Lydia advises.
"Just having some fun." Tom says.
"Fun. Huh." Knuckles says.
Sonic speeds over as the catcher. "All right! Give him the heat, Tails!"
"Hope you're ready for my fastball." Tails taunts.
