Knuckles and Skye have gotten up from the debris and follow after them at high speed. While Knuckles runs, Skye gains more momentum by running on all fours, with red fire burning from his body.
"Wow. Okay. Let me just say it is an honor to finally meet you, Sonic and Crimson." The fox says. "Is it okay if I call you Sonic and Crimson? Everyone calls me Tails. And back there is Void."
The lynx looks at Sonic making him yelp at his appearance.
"You're probably wondering why they call me that." Tails says.
"Let me guess. Because of the extra tail?"
"The second tail, right?"
"That's right! I should've known you'd get that." Tails says.
"Cool. Also, WHAT IS GOING ON?! Robotnik is back?! And who is Clifford the Big Red Rage Monster and his Big Blue Brother?!" Sonic panics.
"That's Knuckles, the last of the Echidnas and Skye the Mega Wolf, the most dangerous warriors in the galaxy." Tails explains.
"They're obsessed with finding the Master Emerald."
"The Master Emerald?" Crimson inquires thinking back to the voices she heard when she made contact with Skye.
"That's just a bedtime story." Sonic says.
"Well, they believe it's real. And they must think you two are the keys to finding it." Tails says.
They look ahead and see the streetlight turn red, causing Sonic to panic.
"Red light! Red light! Give me the wheel!"
"Hey, what are you-"
Sonic reaches over and grabs the steering wheel, swerving around a giant water truck.
"I think we lost them?" Crimson says still staring out the back window.
Knuckles and Skye punch through the truck and continue the chase, showing no sign of stoping.
Knuckles jumps up and glides onto the roof of the car, punching through the roof.
"We didn't loose them!" Sonic says.
Skye catches up and tears the door off the passenger side. Tails nearly falls off, staring down the cliff side before getting an idea.
Crimson looks over the side as well, looking at the hoverboard she took with her.
"I've got an idea. Do you trust me?" Tails asks.
"Of course not! We literally just met you!" Sonic says.
"I do! Whatever you're gonna do, go for it!" Crimson says.
"Just let me-" Tails grabs the wheel again, steering it for the cliff. "Come on!"
