At the top of the Transamerica building, Tom, Maddie, Lydia, Marcie, Sonic, and Crimson stare down Doctor Robotnik.
"Welcome to San Francisco, Mister and Missus Wachowski, Missus and Missus Thorndyke. Are you enjoying the clam chowder?"
"Well if it isn't the government wack job, trying to kill us." Lydia throws her hand out. "Unsuccessfully!"
"Nice of you to swing by on your way to Comic-Con." Tom says.
"Yeah, what are you wearing?" Maddie asks.
Robotnik looks offended.
"It's a flight suit! Designed to modulate my body temperature and reduce drag." He hisses.
"Yeah, and yet you still are one." Tom sasses.
"Ooh-hoo! Good one. You are catching fire, Thomas!" Robotnik says sarcastically. "Oh and speaking of heat, I see you've both taken lovers. Do they have names or should we just call them 'collateral damage'?"
"Oh he's about to catch these hands real quick." Marcie whispers.
"Hey, watch your mouth!" Lydia says. "Unless you want a little more of what he gave you earlier." She points to Tom.
"I punched him in the face." Tom explains.
"He did, it was hilarious. Especially his scream." Crimson gestures to Robotnik.
"Oh! He punched him right in the face! It was awesome!" Sonic says.
"The time for talking is over! It's time to push buttons." Robotnik cuts him off.
"Your flying eggs are pretty impressive, Mister Eggman." Sonic fires.
"What are you? The mother hen?" Crimson calls out.
"Let's face it, you'll never catch us." Sonic says confidently.
"Confidence." Robotnik points out. "A fool's substitute for intelligence."
He lifts a glass case over a red button, as Sonic's quill surrounded by Crimson's fur charges the pod.
The egg-drones pop out their arsenal, as everyone looks around.
"That's not good." Sonic quips.
"Sonic, we know you and Crimson got the super-speed and everything, but us four..." Tom says.
"Totally defenseless? Probably gonna get blown up?" Sonic says boldly.
"Well, you could've said it better." Crimson says.
"Pretty much, yeah." Maddie says.
"This was not on my horoscope, ima be honest." Marcie says.
"Don't worry. We know exactly what to do." Sonic says.
