The dense mist swirling around us triggers memories of the thick fog at the Slumbering Weald. We struggle to navigate through it until a figure emerges, breaking through the haze. As the silhouette materializes, we recognize her—Grenomy Town's Gym Leader, Luna.
"I believe I've seen you before... aren't you Luna? The Gym Leader of Grenomy?" Gloria inquires, trying to place the familiar face.
Luna nods with a serene smile. "Yes, that's correct. And you're Ash Ketchum, aren't you?" Luna replies, acknowledging my presence.
I take the opportunity to inquire, "So Luna, um... do you happen to know the way to Grenomy Town?" The question lingers, hopeful for guidance through the thick mist obstructing our path.
"Follow me," Luna directs, leading us through the thick mist. As we trail behind her, Luna reveals the purpose behind the mist's creation—shielding the townspeople from potential encounters with Ghost-type Pokémon that typically inhabit the nearby Watchtower Ruins. "Drifloon, Duskull, Gastly usually live there, and who knows what they might do if they catch their prey," Luna explains, emphasizing the need for caution.
"I guess that's fair enough," I acknowledge, understanding the need for precautionary measures in protecting the townsfolk from potential dangers.
Upon reaching Grenomy Town, the sight that greets us is nothing short of spectacular. The buildings adorned with neon lights cast an ethereal glow, while star-shaped patterns embellishing some of the roads create an ambiance reminiscent of a galaxy.
"Wow... this is amazing," Alice exclaims in awe at the town's vibrant and otherworldly atmosphere.
"I'm glad you like it. You see, this place is surrounded by fog generated by Psychic-type Pokémon, acting as a barrier to prevent Ghost-type Pokémon from attacking the town," Luna explains further. "And Grenomy Town is renowned for its astronomic fields," she adds, highlighting the town's unique association with celestial wonders.
"Seems like that's the Gym Stadium," Flora observes, pointing out the colossal structure adorned with a prominent logo. Luna, acknowledging our observation, adds, "But I heard that both of you already got Nessa's Gym Badge, so what brings you here?"
"I'm here because there's a Contest happening, you know? The Pokémon Contests?" I explain, highlighting our purpose for being in Grenomy Town.
"Oh, I'm familiar with those. So you're here to participate. Well, best of luck to you," Luna responds, offering her encouragement for the contest.
"By the way, there are some things that I need to take care of first, so I'll just give each of you my League Card for now," Luna announces, distributing League Cards to us. Upon inspecting the card, we notice that it bears the number 628, marking it as hers.
Luna, an esteemed astronomer, hails from a lineage deeply entrenched in the enigmatic world of Psychic-type Pokémon. Her familial roots intertwined with psychic abilities laid the foundation for her profound understanding of the celestial and the mind. Luna's contributions to the fields of astronomy and psychic studies are notable, reflecting her dedication to both scientific inquiry and the development of psychic abilities. Her Gym challenges embody the synthesis of these passions, guiding trainers toward cosmic enlightenment.
As we step into the bustling Contest Hall, a familiar voice calling my name catches my attention. "Ash! Is that you?"
Turning around, I'm greeted by none other than Dawn—her familiar face lighting up my surprise. "Dawn! Long time no see!" I exclaim, a smile spreading across my face.
We exchange a high-five in a gesture of camaraderie. "Still trying to do Contests, Ash?" Dawn asks with a playful tone.
"Yeah," I reply. "I'm aiming for my second ribbon. And you?"
