1. Ash's Story (Part 10: Galar)

Chapter 50

As we hurry forward, we come across Oleana, who appears distressed and in need of assistance. "Lady Elena, Mr. Ash... You must help me! I-I mean, please, help me!"

Elena inquires, concerned, "Oleana, what's wrong?"

"My Pokémon suddenly Dynamaxed for some reason and started running amok in the stadium... Raihan...I mean, Mr. Raihan was able to subdue the Dynamax Pokémon in the stadium, but... If other Pokémon also Dynamax and go on a rampage...the underground power plant would collapse! Mr. Rose is down there right now!"

I confirm, "We know. That's where we're heading now."

Oleana continues her plea, "I know this is selfish of me, but I must beg your assistance! I want you to head into the underground power plant and stop Mr. Rose! Mr. Rose has awakened a Pokémon known as Eternatus... Apparently, the energy emitted from its body is what causes Dynamaxing. At this rate, all the Pokémon in the Galar region will Dynamax and go berserk! If that were to happen—"

Serena interrupts with newfound knowledge, "So the Darkest Day Pokémon's real name is Eternatus..."

Oleana pleads one last time, "Please, you must save Mr. Rose! You can take the lift over there to reach him. I've enlisted the help of the Champion's younger brother, too, but who knows what is going on..."

With a shared understanding of the urgency of the situation, we nod and make our way to the lift, ready to confront the chaos that Eternatus has unleashed and to save Galar from impending disaster.

As we arrive at the Power Plant, we are taken aback to find Hop lying on the floor, seemingly defeated, while Chairman Rose stands before us. Elena addresses him with concern, "Papa, what's the situation right now?"

Chairman Rose sighs deeply and explains, "Right now, Leon has gone to the summit and is battling Eternatus. We have to put all our hopes on him. All I want is to provide the Galar region with limitless energy to ensure everlasting prosperity. I feel like this is my purpose, my duty, my destiny! That's why we've been giving the Wishing Stars to Eternatus! However, the experiment didn't go well, and now this happens..."

The gravity of the situation becomes even clearer, and we realize the dire consequences of Chairman Rose's actions. Determined to offer our assistance, I assert, "Then let us help Leon. I don't think he can handle this Eternatus alone."

Chairman Rose, wearing a concerned expression, responds, "I'm afraid that I can't let you. Your safety is important to us, and we can't let you get harmed."

Elena, impassioned by her experiences with our group, confronts her father, pleading, "So you're just going to let Leon get harmed instead? Papa, ever since I traveled with Ash and his group, we have overcome so many hard challenges that we can't do on our own! So please, Papa. Just let us go through."

Chairman Rose stares at us, his expression conflicted, before finally conceding, "Ash, I really do wish I could have seen the Championship Match between you two. And I'm terribly sorry to have ruined the whole Gym Challenge and everything! It's too bad, but it can't be helped... In order to solve the energy issue as soon as possible, we awakened Eternatus. But we couldn't control it. The Champion Leon came to aid me, even at the cost of abandoning the match. Indeed, just like a knight in shining armor coming to rescue a princess from a dragon!"

Elena urges her father, "Papa, now it's not the time to ramble on. I know you love to make speeches, but we have to go now."

Chairman Rose nods in agreement and says, "I think the Champion should have captured Eternatus by now. If you're curious, you can take the lift up. And I trust you'll be going too, right, Hop? I certainly hope losing to me didn't discourage you too much. Go on now, both of you! Go see how our Champion is doing!"
