A New Place

Chapter 2

~Chucky's POV~

"Bye dad!" Bella said. So her parents were divorced. Perfect. I was watching the little brat from her window. I needed to get back to Chicago, I shouldn't have come this far. The car drove away and they started coming back in the house. I hated being with this girl. One; she's a girl. Two; she never takes me out of her room. And three; she's a girl!

(Time Skip)

"Bella, honey why don't you bring you're doll down to show your brother. I'm sure he'll love him." She was reading a book called Pride and Prejudice so she just sighed, put the book down, and took me downstairs to meet her brother.

"Hey, squirt!" He boomed. He was huge. He had dark curly hair, his dimples showed when he smiled, and had massive muscles. He jogged over and picked her up, with me as well, and spun her around.

~Bella's POV~

"Emmett put her down." My mom was trying not to laugh as she said this.

"Can't breathe." I choked out.

"Sorry, squirt. I'm just so happy to see you again. I remember when you were just a baby." I smiled up at him and asked;

"Do you wanna play with me? We could play board games." I looked up at him with my best puppy dog eyes.

"Aww. You know I can't say no to those puppy dog eyes but we have to play a video game after. Deal?"

"Deal." I said with a toothy grin.

Hours later we were all eating dinner. Emmett was eating like he hadn't eaten in months. I tried to hold in my laughter but I burst out laughing when he picked up the plate of finished food and started licking it. Mom was laughing along with me. Emmett was acting as if nothing happened. He got up and headed up to take a shower. I already got a bath so I just went up to my room after I finished eating. Mom tucked me in and put Chucky next to me. I wonder if he's married and has a kid. Maybe two. Mom shut the door and I could hear her in the kitchen a minute later so I turned on my nightstand light and sat up. I took Chucky and put him in front of me.

"Chucky?" He blinked and looked directly at me.

"Do you have a wife? A kid?" He looked like I'd lost my mind but then turned serious.

"I did have a bride but I'm not sure where she'd be. As for a kid I don't have any." I was sad for him now. He didn't have anyone that cared for him. I then did something that shocked me and him; I gave him a hug. He didn't resist so I was curious as to why. I then heard someone coming down the hall. I turned my light off and got tucked under the covers again. My door creaked open but I was looking away from the door so I couldn't see who was there.

"You know, you're a bad actress." Emmett. I should've known. I looked back towards the door and saw him in only sweat pants.

"I wasn't tired." It was the truth, I wasn't tired.

"Come here. I wanna show you to someone." I jumped out of bed and followed him to his bedroom. He had a laptop on his desk and it looked like there was someone on the screen. He sat down in the chair in front of the laptop and held out his hands. I jumped onto his lap and looked to see a pretty girl with blonde hair on the screen.

"Bella, this is my girlfriend Rosalie. I met her when I was with dad up in Washington." I waved at her and hid my face in Emmett's chest. Emmett chuckled and Rosalie giggled.

"She's so cute Emmett. I wish I could see her in person. Bella?" I looked back at the screen. "Emmett told me so much about you and your family. I'm sorry that you're parents aren't together but I know they still love each other." I smiled at her. I think I'm gonna like her.

"Bella? Why aren't you in bed?" I looked and saw that mom was at Emmett's door with hands on hips. I jumped down off Emmett's lap and ran to my room to go to sleep.

I woke up to the unusual bright sun. It was going to be a really hot day. I got my clothes on and headed downstairs. I put on some shorts with a fitted short-sleeved shirt. Mom and Emmett were already at the table drinking coffee. Food was on a plate for me so I dug in. I finished and took my plate to the sink to wash it. Something was off.

"Bella, sweety, would you like to go to the water park today?" I nodded eagerly and went up to get changed into a swim suit. I was ready and downstairs waiting 10 minutes later with Emmett. Mom came down and we were on our way to the water park. When we got there Emmett took me inside while Mom said she'd be in in a minute; she had to make a phone call. I went over to the little kids pool while Emmett watched me from a distance. It was a while later that I saw Mom come in and sit down next to Emmett. She looked like she could break down crying at any moment. I got out of the pool and went to see what was wrong.

"Mommy, what's wrong?" She turned towards me and hid her sad face with a smile.

"Just go play. We have about an hour." I gave her a look that said I wanted to know what was wrong but she just shook her head and mouthed later. An hour later we were on our way back home. I took a shower when we got home. I got out of the shower and saw Mom put clothes on the counter with a note.

Please wear these. Come downstairs when you're done. ~Mom
