A Night of Freedom Pt. 2

~Bella's POV~

  Ki came down in about 5 minutes so we were just waiting for his sister. It took another 10 minutes for her but I can see why. She was all dolled up which reminded me of a song that I like. It's called Dollhouse. I started humming the song and Ki asked me what I was singing.

"Oh it's just a song I remembered. It's one of my favorites." I pulled out my iPhone and earbuds and let him listen to it.

"I remember this. My sister forced me to listen to it with her once." I smacked him lightly.

"It's a good song." He just put his hands up in false surrender. I laughed.

"Shall we go? I wouldn't want to miss our reservations."

"But mom. We need to wait for Harry. He doesn't know where we're going." The doorbell rang then. Kaylie ran to the door and opened it to a boy with glasses and slick brown hair. Definitely the stuck up type.

"Okay, let's get going." We piled into an SUV with me and I in the back. All we did was listen to music and chat. We were doing 20 questions now.

"What's you're family like? They seem to keep to themselves."

"Oh.. um.... They are just reserved like that but they're really nice once you get to know them. Emmett is a real prankster though so don't get in his way."

"Okay. I'll remember that next time."

"Next time?"

"We had a bit of a fight because of a prank I did on him to get even. Long story short he embarrassed me and I did the same right back."

"Oh." I kept quiet and we just listened to music until we got to the restaurant.

"We're here." Ki's mom said. We all climbed out of the car and went inside.

"Reservation for Tyrel."

"Right this way." We were on our way to the table when I saw Carlisle and Esme at a table near ours. You've got to be kidding me! I asked Ki to sit on the other side of him so that my adoptive parents wouldn't see me.

"Are you alright?"

"Yeah except my adoptive parents wanted to be overprotective." I motioned over to their table. I didn't feel up to eating at the moment so all I ordered was a cup of water. Ki looked over at me but didn't say anything. I knew he was worried about me, and that was sweet, but I don't know about him. He doesn't feel right to me. After tonight I'll just say that we are just friends because he seems like he wants to be more. I excused myself to the restroom and knew that Esme would follow. I heard footsteps behind me before the door closed. I turned around and started.

"Why did you follow me? I said I'd be fine. Do you not trust me?"

"Of course we trust you it's just that you left in a mood and I wanted to make sure you were alright." I was mad at her but she's like my mom. I couldn't stay mad at her for long. I exited the bathroom without looking back. Ki and his family were just about to leave when I came back and so were Carlisle and Esme. I said I was ready and we left for the movie theater. I knew that Carlisle and Esme would follow but I didn't care. Ki was whispering to me about how beautiful I was and he kept making me blush. I know I shouldn't but I think I'm falling in love with him. We made it to the movie theater with a couple minutes to spare so we all ordered popcorn and a drink. I was only thirsty so I got water, again.

  During the movie I couldn't concentrate on the movie because Ki kept running his hand along my thigh. It was very distracting. I got him to stop and I saw the end of the movie. It was sad because the main character was so sweet and she kept getting picked on but she got some supernatural power and she got her revenge. At the very end she killed her mother and then herself. I teared up a little but I quickly wiped it away.

"So, how'd you like it?"

"It was really good, not at all scary though. I was kinda disappointed." We came out of the theater and Carlisle and Esme were outside waiting. Then I saw Edward with them. I smiled and ran to my adopted parents.

"Mom! Dad!"

"Hi sweetie."

"Hi Edward."

"Hey Bella." He looked up from me to Ki's family. His facial expression said that he didn't like them very much.

"These are my adoptive parents and my adoptive brother."

"Hi, Carlisle Cullen and this is my wife Esme and my son Edward. You've already met Bella."

"Yes, it's good to meet you again. It's been too long." I didn't like that smile.

"Yes it has."

"Well, I still have my stuff over at Ki's house so I need to go back with them. I'll see you later." I hugged my family and went off with Ki and his family.

"What was that about?"

"It's nothing. My father is like that sometimes." He stayed silent.

  It was a quiet trip back to their house. I went up to get my stuff, and so did Kaylie's boyfriend. I was right above them and they were talking very quietly but I caught a little.

"...tell her.... She deserves to know.... If you don't tell her I will." After that I heard footsteps on the stairs. I was just zipping my bag when Ki came in the room. I changed fully into my clothes from earlier.

"I'll be taking you home. Are you all packed?" I nodded my head yes. Ki grabbed my bag and slung it onto his back and picked me up like I weighed nothing.

"How-"

"Just close your eyes." I did as he said and I felt air rush around me then it stopped. I opened my eyes and I saw us in front of my house. Well I did tell him where I lived but how did we get here so fast? Ki put me down along with my bag and left in the blink of an eye. Where did he go?

"Bella. We need to have a family meeting." I didn't hear the door open but Carlisle was at the door. I was somewhat frightened from what happened with Ki and his unusual behavior. Carlisle must have saw my fear and hugged me.

"I'm scared, Daddy."
