~Bella's POV~

I was crying into Carlisle's shoulder as he held me. I was scared and didn't know what to do or think or... anything. Are the stories true? Do vampires exist?

---FLASHBACK---

I was curious as to why my family was so secretive but I didn't want to ask as to bother them. I went and googled 'cold ones'. A few sites came up that peaked my interests but only one caught my attention; 'Vampire's Discovery'. The site showed some tabs of how to prevent a vampire attack, what happens if you're bit by one, and signs that someone is a vampire. I clicked the last tab and it wasn't much to read.

-Vampires are beautiful

-Vampires are burned by the sun

-Vampires are allergic to garlic

-Vampires sleep during the day

-Vampires are immortal

Only the first one was true because my family wasn't any of the others. I browsed around on the website but got bored.

---END OF FLASHBACK---

"Bella!" I came back to the present by Edward in front of me.

"What?"

"Were you listening?" I shook my head no. He sighed.

"We're vampires Bella. None of the myths are true but only a few. We are immortal, we have immense beauty, our senses are enhanced; speed, strength, smell, hearing, and touch." He touched my cheek when he said touch and it felt good. I never wanted him to take his hand off but he did. I wanted to be close to him so I put myself in his arms. I could care less what he was just that he would hold me close. He held me and I heard no one around anymore. I didn't know what I was feeling but I think I love him. I think I love Edward Cullen.

I must of fell asleep in Edward's arms because when I opened my eyes again I was in my bedroom. The sun was coming in the window which is what wakes me up... sometimes. I jumped out of bed and got ready for the day. I was going to wear a royal blue dress with black leggings and white knee high boots. I was going to straighten my hair and apply a smokey eye look. I was changing my look. I finished and headed downstairs to see all my family members in the living room. They were all sparkling while the sun was hitting them. Edward was beautiful with a button up blue shirt that had the sleeved rolled up and a few buttons undone. It was a Friday so I only had to get through today.

"Are you going to school?"

"They can't as you can see." I panicked for a minute but I didn't keep that emotion because I was kinda happy.

"Well I still need to go to school-"

"You can stay home if you want. You can pick up your work when you go back and Edward can help you with it." I just nodded and put my bag down. At least I don't have to face Ki. The doorbell rang but no one got it because they all vanished. I went to get it and saw it was Ki.

"What do you want?"

"Ouch. You're feisty today aren't you? I came by and wondered if you wanted a ride to school."

"I'm not going to school. I'm being home schooled now and I'm just about to start."

"Oh, well I'll text you later." Thank god he left. I can't stand him right now but isn't he vampire? AI went upstairs to my room and watched for his car to leave. I then called Edward.

"Yes?"

"Are Ki and his family vampires?"

"I'm not sure but they're definitely not human. I asked Carlisle before and he said he's never come across anything like them before." I got up from the bed and went to Carlisle's study. I knew he would hear me so I didn't bother to knock. I wished I would have this time. Carlisle was in his chair with Esme and they were making out. They were so cute. I pulled out my phone and snapped a photo. I then shut the door so that they would be able to hear me. I knew Esme would be embarrassed and I was smiling on the inside.

"Oh, Bella, I didn't know you were there."

"Yeah, I know. Can I talk to Carlisle for a moment?" Carlisle whispered something to Esme and she left.

"What are Ki and his family?"

"I don't know but I had a hunch." I stared at him and waited for him to continue.

"They aren't vampires unless their's a different race of vampires that I don't know about. Apparently they can go in the sun and at first I thought they weren't anything supernatural. Edward pointed out that there weren't any heartbeats that he could hear. They can grow at a human pace and, again, I was thinking they were human. Every full moon there would be howls of wolves being heard. There's a full moon tonight so you'll see what I mean." A full moon? Wolves? I thanked Carlisle and headed out to enjoy the sun. It was rare that there was a sunny day in Forks.

"I thought you were being home schooled?" I sat up straight and looked around. I saw Ki in the canopy of trees.

"What are you doing here?"

"I wanted to see you. Is that wrong?"

"Yes. It's very wrong. You need to leave." I started pushing him away and I swear I heard him growl. I stopped and stared at him.

"What was that?"

"Probably some animal. You should go insi-"

"Can I come over tonight? We can hang out."

"You can't."

"Why?"

"Because you can't." He paused. "It's a full moon and there's going to be a lot of animals out tonight. I don't want you getting hurt. Please stay inside, for me?" I nodded but I had other plans. I'd come over either way.

"You should get going back to school."

"Who said I went to school?" He was then gone. I went back inside and decided to pack a small bag. I saw Alice in my room with a small bag of mine.

"You saw my decision?" She nodded her head yes.

"Just be careful." She hugged me and left my room. I looked up when the moon would appear at 7:39. That left me with 6 more hours.
