Chapter 5: A New Life

I completed my high school education and my father gave his blessing for me to go to Ole Miss in Mississippi. I was taken aback by his approval, as I had expected him to be more resistant to the idea. My friend Robin was also heading to Mississippi to attend college and pursue a career in law enforcement. Meanwhile, my friend Kyle Brooks had been involved in an accident and was hospitalized in Seattle, where he resided. Elizabeth had already left the dorm and was now living with Eric, which left Robin feeling unhappy and distant from her.

I was preparing to travel to Mississippi when I received an invitation to Elizabeth and Eric's wedding. I felt upset. I couldn't believe that Elizabeth would offend me by sending a wedding invitation, considering my feelings about her relationship with Eric. I don't understand why she expects me to attend her wedding. I was so furious that I couldn't think clearly.

As I was still in the process of packing, I heard a knock on my door and found Eric standing there. I questioned him angrily, stating that he had no right to be there. Eric responded by expressing that he wasn't asking for friendship, but rather conveying Elizabeth's disappointment at my absence from their wedding. He emphasized how much it would mean to her if I attended.

"No, I will not. We are enemies and Elizabeth will be my enemy soon. Does she know that you are a vampire and that your parents are the reason why we are monsters?!" I ask angrily.

"Yes, I told her everything. I am going to turn her into a vampire after we are married. Can you at least think about coming to our wedding?" Eric pleads. "No, I will not. I do not want you to ever come near me again!" I warned Eric.

Sebastian

My name is Sebastian, and my father is Loki. However, Loki is unaware of my true identity as his son. My birth mother, Lisa Ross, left Loki and went into hiding while she was pregnant, intending to give her baby up for adoption. To her surprise, she gave birth to twins, with me being the second-born. Another couple, Ron and Irene experienced a loss during labor, and Lisa, feeling sympathy for them and knowing Irene couldn't have more children, arranged for Dr. Frank to give me to Ron and Irene, leading them to believe I was their son.

My mother Irene passed away when I was ten years old. My father Ron struggled to cope with her death and threw himself into his work, leaving me with little time to spend with him. My older sister Sarah, who is my half-sister from my father's first marriage, took on the role of caring for me. Despite our close relationship, I always felt like I didn't quite fit in. As I grew older, Dr. Frank revealed to me that Ron and Irene were not my biological parents, and I also discovered that I possess telepathic and psychic abilities.

Dr. Frank informed me that Lisa Ross was my biological mother, but he was unaware of the identity of my biological father. He also revealed that Diana Gardner was my twin sister. Loki was aware of Lisa having a child, but he was unaware that she had twins. However, Loki did discover that Diana was his daughter through her adoption records. My birth certificate lists Ron and Irene as my birth parents. Diana and I have a friendly relationship, and she disclosed to me that Loki was her father, which is when I realized that Loki is also my father. Diana is unaware of our sibling relationship.
