Chapter 6: A New Home

Peter

I made the decision to attend Elizabeth and Eric's wedding, not as a friend, but to confront Elizabeth about her bothering me. The wedding was grand, and I noticed King Charles, who seemed displeased by my presence. I assured him that I was not staying and was only there to speak with Elizabeth. When I saw Elizabeth in her stunning wedding gown, she appeared radiant. Upon spotting me, she joyfully embraced me, expressing surprise and happiness at my attendance.

"I do care about you, but I cannot be your friend. Eric and his family are adversaries of my family. Eric's parents are the cause of our family's suffering. I do wish you and Eric the best and hope everything works out for you both. I am loyal to my family and cannot go against them by being your friend. I hope you understand my position!" I responded with frustration.

"I am happy and I love Eric deeply. My brother didn't attend my wedding!" Elizabeth retorted angrily.

"I have no control over that. Robin made his own decision not to attend your wedding," I replied.

"I know you didn't. I just wish he could be happy for me," Elizabeth said sadly.

"I think it's best for Robin to stay away from you. You know that Rose and her brother Loki plan to harm Eric's family. Being married to Eric puts you in danger. You don't want to endanger your brother," I suggested.

"I know you're right. Can you please tell my brother that I love him and apologize for disappointing him?" Elizabeth asked.

"You didn't disappoint Robin. He loves you very much and is just looking out for you. We don't want you to get hurt," I reassured her.

"I understand. Don't be concerned about me. I'll be okay. We're going to reside in King Charles' castle," Elizabeth reassures me.

"That's good to hear. I have to leave, but I did bring you a wedding present. It's a crystal necklace that will keep you safe from harm," I responded.

"Thank you," Elizabeth said.

I departed feeling relieved that I had reconciled with Elizabeth. I was headed to Mississippi to begin my new life.

Elizabeth

I was saddened by the fact that Peter and I had drifted apart and were no longer friends. I had developed a deep affection for Peter, almost like a brother. Additionally, I was let down by Robin's refusal to communicate with me, leaving me without any friends. Aerial and her brother Peter had been admitted to a mental hospital for their involvement in injuring Arthur Connor with the help of Loki. Arthur and his family were vampires, but he was unique in that he could walk in daylight. Despite my aunt and uncle not speaking to me, I was indifferent to their silence. Eric and I traveled to New York for our honeymoon and checked into our hotel.

I observed Eric gazing at a girl and inquired, "Are you acquainted with her?" He responded, "No, I'm not. I know she's a witch!"

in a frustrated tone. I retorted angrily, "You can't hold all witches responsible for your family's curse!"

Eric then insisted, "Yes, I can. I don't want to be friends with a witch!"
