   "HELP!" Arachne screamed.

I pulled myself up staring in horror and shock as Brandy smashed the bottle against the bars before quickly jabbing it into Arachne's throat.

"No, no, no!" Coryo ran up over to Arachne as she lay on the ground after Brandy released her. Large amounts of blood began to spill from Arachne's neck.
The crowd of people screamed quickly running off.

I pull myself up and stumble over to Coryo staring at the blood, listening to her gasping.

"Oh my god." I gasp as Coryo presses his hands on Arachne's bleeding neck.

Arachne was gasping desperately holding onto life.

"It's okay. It's okay. Hold on. Hold on." Coryo told Arachne, he was clearly terrified as well. "Hey, just look at me. Hey, hold on. It's only."

"It's... okay, help with come." I wasn't as together as Coryo was.

"It's okay I'll get help." Coryo told Arachne. "Somebody help us, please!"

Instead of help the Peacekeepers started shooting. I drop down to avoid getting shot myself holding my hands over my ears. I bit my lip holding in a scream. Coryo half protected Arachne's body with his and half threw himself on top of her so he was as low as possible and wound get shot. I looked back in the cage, I saw Treech turn round quickly grabbing onto Lamina and rolling behind the rock, I didn't think he got shot, I hope he didn't. On the other hand Brandy, the girl who stabbed Arachne was groaning before she collapsed her clothes starting to stain red.
I looked back at Arachne and Coryo, my eyes were wide in horror, there was a puddle of blood around Arachne now. She wasn't moving and blood was dripping from her mouth.
Instead of helping again Peacekeepers grabbed Coryo dragging him away.

Sejanus slowly walked up beside me as he stared at Arachne's bloody body. I gasped trying to keep myself under control and stable as I used the bar's to help pull me up to my feet.

I looked back in the cage, pulling my eyes away from Brandy's body I spot Treech and Lamina slowly sitting up still behind the rock. Is it bad that I oddly feel more relieved that Treech wasn't harmed than I care about the two dead people one even one of my classmates, an annoying and unpleasant one but still was one of my classmates. We played when we were little, we've been to each other's birthdays, I cheered at her brothers graduation. I didn't have to like her and she didn't have to like me but seeing her body made me sick, made me hurt, made me feel bad.

I lay awake in my bed, I couldn't sleep, whenever I shut my eyes longer than a blink I saw Arachne's bloody, cold body.

Then something crept into my mind something I had almost completed forgotten about, the assignment from Dr. Gaul. It was due tomorrow. I pushed myself off of my bed pacing my room, I was debating whether to forget about it, try and do some of it by myself or call up Coryo to see if he wanted to work on it.

I finally decided, taking a breath I walk out of my room and to the phone dialing Coryo's number. I listened to it ring, it's late he's probably asleep. Just as my feet turned Coryo answered the phone.

"I'm sorry if I woke you. I can't get a wink of sleep myself with what happened with Arachne... I was if you'd be all right if I came over so we could work on Dr. Gaul's assignment." I wait for a response.

"I was just starting it. You can come." Coryo agreed.

"Okay, thanks. See you shortly." I hang up.

Pulling off my night robes and pulling on clothes I leave my house. I wasn't sure if my father was home or not, it wouldn't make a difference if he was, he honestly doesn't care about me, doesn't even acknowledge me.

I climbed up twelve flights of stairs to Coryo's apartment. I only needed to knock once for him to open the door, he was probably waiting close to the door so my knocking wouldn't wake up his Grandma'am and Tigris.

"What about drones. We could use drones to deliver food and water to the tributes during the Games." I said. "And the drones can be programmed to fly to the tribute receiving the food and water."
My back was against Coryo's bed as I sat on the floor, Coryo was sitting at the desk with papers and a pen.

"That could work. It could be organized by betting. Sponsors. Each item would have a different price." Coryo added.

"No, Peacekeepers, Gamemakers, mentors. Because they could cheat. And it seems more fair." I added, I didn't exactly like the betting idea but it would help me get food to Treech, and that was what was important.

We worked on that until the morning, Coryo did most of the writing but occasionally I would put down an idea. Most of the ideas were his too. Coryo told me to go home and he'd be the one to deliver it.

I said goodbye and quietly left walking through the sleeping streets of Panem back to my home.

I watched the news as I ate some breakfast. The screens showed Arachne's throat getting slit, Coryo running to help Arachne. Me walking up a minute after him trying to comfort Arachne. Then the gunfire and the killing of Brandy. Coryo looked like a hero most of all. The camera didn't catch his shaking or fear. I looked slightly frightened on screen.

—————

There was a school assembly held for Arachne, her funeral was to be the next day.
The rest of the school day many students and teachers were morning over Arachne, I probably should have been, but my mind always went back to Treech.

After school I went to the zoo, Peacekeeper's denied me to go see the tributes, I tried but they wouldn't budge, so... I snuck pas them another way.

My eyes travelled through the cage till they landed on a boy wearing a grey hat with black curly hair underneath it.

"Treech." I whispered, luckily he heard. I watched his head look up from the ground and turn to my direction. He looked at Lamina sitting beside him before he got up making his way over to me.
