And then three years later she finally updated. Again, so sorry for the long wait! This chapter flips points of views a bit this chapter without me labeling them so forgive me if you get confused. Enough from me! Enjoy!
-------------------------------------------Emma had been in the middle of an incredible nights sleep filled with dreams of being home when she was jerked awake by screaming from the person she now shared a wall with.
Eyes and mind still foggy from slumber, a man's voice roared on about something Emma couldn't make out through the wood that separated them. The princess scrubbed her hands across her face in attempts wake up, and through her blonde hair when suddenly there was a moment of holy silence. Of course the fact that the yelling had so abruptly cut off didn't exactly reassure her.
Suddenly there was a trembling crash and the sound of splintering wood and broken pieces of something or other, crunching as it hit the ground. Emma was pretty sure that it had been the sound of a heavy object being thrown at the wall. Aggravation and irritation flared in the princess hot enough to allow the her to throw the covers off of her legs (ones that still wore the painted on leather pants) and stomp out into the hallway to her patients' door.
Angrily blowing her blonde hair, that must've come out of her ponytail sometime during the night, out of eyes she threw the door open to find Hook in the middle of a tantrum, the evidence of it being a broken chair lying in a heap in his floor. That must've been the crash she'd heard. He had thrown it at the wall of his own ship.
There was a wave of disbelieving annoyance that washed over her as she saw what had woken her up.
"What. The. Hell." She ground out through clenched teeth. "I was sleeping and you woke me up, Hook. This better be good."
Emma wanted a legitimate reason for his outburst, because at the moment this grown, and admittedly attractive, man was acting like a child.
Emma's green eyes darted away from Hook's shocked expression to one matched by Wendy who was standing off to the side.
"I thought I asked you to not let him stand and move around. Clearly, he hasn't exactly minded that rule." Emma jerked her head in the direction of the furniture that would most likely never be used again.
The Joneses just stared at her. Emma resisted the urge to roll her eyes and turned back to Hook.
"Alright Jones," she snapped. "You probably screwed up the the stitches I so kindly gave you, even after you kidnapped me, so I'm going to ask you very nicely to lay back down on the bed so I can fix them."
Hook and Wendy continued to watch her with matching blue eyes and open mouths, but for very different reasons.
Wendy was filled with slight horror at the blonde for going at it at her brother, for she new quite well that no one yells at Captain Hook and leaves unscathed. Except for maybe herself.
Hook stood gaping because how the hell had he not noticed just how bloody gorgeous this woman was when she was pissed off?!
"And," Emma continued in a frosty tone, snapping the two people out of their frozen states, while she remained oblivious to the thoughts of the brother and sister. "I am not really in the mood to stitch you up a third time so I suggest no more straining activities."
And just like that, Hook was back to his old self.
"No straining activities?" He ran his tongue over his teeth in a gesture that bordered on obscene as his eyes raked her body. Emma suddenly felt as if she were bare in front of his and she resisted the urge to cross her arms over her chest. She couldn't, however, stop the blush that came. The one that made his smirk even more infuriating. "That's no bloody fun." Hook took a step closer to her. Emma didn't seem to be able to back away.
