I entwine my fingers with Peeta as we approach the café. Peeta has been closer to me since the hospital visit. I believe I have come closer to him too.
Peeta opens the glass push door and lets me enter first. I wait for him, I've become cautious and feel more vulnerable out in public. He understands very well. It isn't a nice even to go through, I know so much.
Peeta walks up to counter with me and orders two coffees. As he does I glance around the café, my hand travelling up to hold his upper arm. Finding more comfort with the grasp.
He pays and receives a number stand before slowly leading me to a table by the window. I slip in the seat by the window and Peeta places himself in the seat next to me.
"Are you okay Jen?" Peeta asks and rings his arm around my shoulders.
"Yeah." I mumble and lean my head on his shoulder. "You?"
"Alright I suppose." Peeta replies and his free hand rubs my stomach once before entwining with my hand.
We sit in silence. No words forming on our tongues and dancing off into the air. Like our tongues had disappeared and we had become mute.
"I feel something isn't right." I mumble just after a waitress comes to deliver us the coffees we ordered. We both mutter a thank you before she leaves, glancing at us briefly as she walks away.
"You're okay. We're okay. No one is going to hurt us." Peeta states before bringing his lips to my cheek for a peck.
"You'll stay with me, won't you?" I mumble, leaning my head on his shoulder. Finding some source of comfort, the feeling of anxiety growing within me.
"Yeah, always. I've been with you since day 1, the last day isn't approaching right now." He answers and a small smile grows on my lips but only noticeable if you looked close enough.
We begin drinking our coffees when the silence becomes on our tongues again. I look around again and see how there are only two other groups of people in this place.
Peeta places the coffee down and is soon grabbed by people and dragged away from me. "Peeta!" I shout and people grasp my arms tight, holding me back from trying to reach him.
They try and restrain me as I try and protest, wriggling out of their hold yet they pull me back.
"Katniss!" At first I'm confused at his exclamation but then I hear metal hit my head, feeling it with such an impact. My eyesight becomes blurred and before I can try to stay awake, my eyes shut welcoming to a black world and my head dips forward. My senses leaving at once in seconds.
