A/N: After by being bogged down by tests, projects, research, and suddenly being apart of an ambitious crossover (full of inside jokes that no one else would understand anyways) as an editor and writer, this is finally out

Chapter 10 - Epoch

Kiara's eyes open up as some slight disturbance is felt around the helicopter. She looked through the window to see that they are above of some sort of base

And one particular thing that stands out is that this base has a runway with what seems to be a private jet nearby, but besides that and a few other buildings, there's not much to see

Kiara then looks down as she sees just how far up they are while the helicopter is hovering meters above a helipad... And as she sees just far up they are, inexplicable fear somewhat fills her heart

Actually, it isn't inexplicable, she knows exactly what's the cause... She's afraid of heights... While she won't be having a panic attack anytime soon, she's still quite afraid that she slightly gripped harder on whatever the metal thing she's holding on called

Kiara then took a deep breath before she exhaled it out to calm herself down as the helicopter touched down...

And then a slight thud is heard and felt as the helicopter successfully touches down, and then slowly but surely, the rotors slows down

Kiara looks around and saw Grey Serpent standing up, and if she thought that if he is standing up, then it's time to go out

But as she was about to stand up, she stopped as Grey Serpent held up his hand before she sat back down...

'That was embarrassing...' Kiara thought to herself as she watched Grey Serpent open the door which allows the sound of the slowly rotating blades to come in 'But why am I not allowed to go out yet? Safety concerns?'

Possibly, but she can't say for sure, so all she can do is watch as Grey Serpent walked out of the helicopter with his head slightly down

And then she remembered something... She once saw that the blades of the rotors are somewhat flexible, going up and down...

"Oh..." Kiara said, vocalizing her realization

So yeah, safety concerns it seems...

But really? She has to wait while Grey Serpent is already out? She doesn't want to outright say this but she's short physically... She can probably walk towards there without even ducking

But noooo, she has to wait here and waste both their times until the rotors stopped, which actually, they basically already are by now, so yeah

Kiara stood up and looked at Grey Serpent just in case before he motioned her to come there, so she finally did. She walked towards him as he turned his back to her and started walking

She looked at the direction of where he was looking and saw the private jet from earlier, so that's where they're headed huh... This will be the first time she will board a plane... She's somewhat nervous

Actually, she just did boarded a Heli for the first time and she had no problems, sure she fell asleep mid flight, but she got through it with little problems, so she can probably get through this with little problems as well
