Chapter 7 - Great and Old
Kiara opened her eyes… Or… Tried to…
'What… Huh…?' Kiara's mind was still discombobulated and she was still disoriented as she managed to open only one eye properly
Something's blocking her left eye… And this realization caused her to start being aware that something is wrong… She tried to lift her hand so that she can remove whatever the thing that's blocking her left eye but immediately noticed she can barely move her arms anywhere
Not because she's feeling weak… No… Something's stopping her arms from moving… Something cold and metallic…
After a few moments, she finally managed to fully open up her right eye despite difficulties, and the first thing she did was look towards her arms… Or tried to
As she tried to raise her head to see her arms properly, her neck suddenly met with the same material and texture that's blocking her arms… And this meeting wasn't exactly smooth
*Cough* *Cough* *Cough*
Kiara coughs as her sudden attempt at standing up caused her neck to collide with the metallic restraint, sending a sharp jolt of pain through her body
'What…' Kiara wondered where exactly she was as her mind slowly became clearer…
Weird… Why does she feel so… So disoriented…? This has never happened to her whenever she wakes up… At best, she would feel annoyed or irritated and maybe slightly trippy, but never disoriented
She tried to gently move her legs, and just like her other body parts, it was constrained by something metal…
Kiara twisted her head so that she could look at her forcefully outstretched right arm and she saw it. The wrists of her right arm were secured by silvery metal cuffs, tightly bound, preventing any movement she wishes to make
'What… What happened…?' Kiara thought to herself as she tries to squirm around the bindings to no avail
She tries to remember why and how exactly that led her to this situation… But all she could gather were a bunch of blurry things…
'Why… Why are my most recent memories so… Blurry…?' Kiara thought to herself in confusion
She may have a shit memory to the point she sometimes even forgets her own parent's birthday or even their names… But really…? Her most recent memories blurred already…?
Oh how she can't believe her memories would be that bad…
As she continued to ponder her situation, a sense of unease started to creep over her… Who wouldn't feel uneasy in her situation…?
She's trapped, and at the mercy of whoever put her here… She's powerless…

But her train of thoughts was suddenly interrupted when the door to the room opened up and a man with a familiar mask entered the room
A mask that she had only seen a few times in Honkai Impact…
