A/N: You know, if Theresa is gonna get respected as a leader, then she must be pretty good at being one, huh?

I've been writing Theresa quite off from the source material...

But counterpoint: it was 2002, that's more than a decade before canon and just 2 years after the disaster that is the 2nd Honkai War with Sirin that ended with Theresa's only real friend, Cecilia, dead, Kiana missing, and Siegfried an outlaw (or missing too. I don't know when exactly he became an outlaw from Schicksal).

That's gonna do wonders to her mental health.

But it doesn't help the fact that I feel uncomfortable writing Theresa that feels so out of character for her... At least for me, it does.

How about you guys? Do you feel that Theresa is out of character?

Chapter 14 - Moonlit Mystery

"Grandpa..."

"Yes, my cutest granddaughter and the 2nd cutest person in the world?"

"I-... Well... Can I turn St. Freya into a Valkyrie school...? We have enough medical staff to do that... And I heard that other sectors have an abundance of Valkyrie with how many girls volunteered with the disaster from... 2 years ago, back in 2000... And St. Freya is already an ideal venue, especially since it's constantly used as a temporary base for missions anyways."

"That's weird... You didn't reply to me calling you the 2nd cutest?"

"Hmph! I'm the cutest! But... This is a serious request, grandpa..."

"Why the sudden interest in transforming St. Freya into a Valkyrie school, Theresa? You have such ambitious ideas sometimes really."

"Grandpa, it's not just ambition. We could use St. Freya's resources and infrastructure to better train and support the Valkyries, especially with the current situation we have."

"Oh? And you're telling me this now? I thought you were more focused on administrative matters and the occasional mission that comes by Eastern Asia."

"I have been, but... A few things have been an eye-opener..."

"What are the chances of your current attitude being related to the personal disciple you recently took in?"

"..."

"..."

"..."

"... Hm... And what would you need from me for this grand idea of yours, my cute granddaughter?"

"Support, mostly. I need approval to allocate resources, adjust the academy's functions, and integrate the Valkyrie training programs into the existing framework."

"Support, you say? And what's in it for me, Theresa? You know I don't do things without my own benefit."

"I'm sure we can find a way to align it with your interests. The benefits to Schicksal should be substantial. I'm also willing to negotiate terms that would be beneficial for you."

"Negotiation, you say? I do enjoy a good bargain from time to time. But, my dear Theresa, you'd better have a solid plan if you want me to commit. This is a long-term goal you're asking me to commit to after all."

"I assure you, I have a detailed proposal ready. I just need your endorsement to get it started."

"Very well, then. I'll consider it."

"Thank you so much, Grandpa!!! I'll have everything in order. Thank you again..."

"Ah, by the way, if you call me the cutest, I can give you–"
