"Shubman ball yahan fek!!" Mithra's voice echoed as she saw him throw the ball. And just as he threw it, she caught it before hitting the stumps, gaining a wicket. "Yes!" everyone exclaimed before she ran around the field getting high-fives from her teammates.

"Thu na, Virat sir ki tharaf celebrate karti hai," Shubman laughed, before panting making the girl roll her eyes. "Shubman tie your shoelace, you'll trip and fall," the sports instructor spoke before speaking to another student. The 2 looked at his feet before looking at each other. Shubman looked at Mithra, and she looked at him.

He raised his eyebrows, tilting his head making her huff. She bent down to tie his lace and saw him poke his tongue out. "When will you learn?" Mithra asked as she tied the lace for him. "Well, you're gonna be there for me every time, so I don't think I'll ever learn," he chuckled. "Yeah, sure buddy. Even when you get a selected in the cricket team?" she asked as he nodded.

"Yep," he answered. "Even when you get a girlfriend?" she asked her hands on her waist. "Um let's not talk about that, now come, Manjula ma'am will give our marksheets," Shubman answered throwing his hand over her shoulder before the 2 made their way to class.

"Class quiet!" Ma'am yelled and the chaos calmed down. "Kitni chilathi hai re" Shubman muttered making Mithra snicker. "Okay class, I'll be giving every subject papers today and you'll be filing them. Did you all get your files today?" she asked as a chorus of Yes was heard. "Shit yaar, I forgot," Shubman spoke wide eyes. "Chill. Meri file me rakle. Ghar jaane ke baad, lele," she answered making him nod.

It took a few minutes before every paper was distributed. "Arey Mithu! Theri aur Shubman ki total percentage kitni hai?" their classmate exclaimed. "Calculate karni hai. Thodi dher ruk," she answered before pulling out her rough notebook. "Shubi ek pencil ya pen dhe na," she asked as he gave her one.

It took her barely 5 minutes to calculate both their percentage. "Bro, hum dhono ko 95% mili hai, bro hum is baar class ke toppers hai!!" she excalimed. "Oh theri!" he yelled huggin her. "Arey thum dhono kya couple ho? Sabh samay, sabh kuch saath me hi karthe ho?" a boy asked.

"Hum?" the 2 exclaimed in sync before continuing. "Couple? Never! No!"  "Hum tho best friends hai," Mithra answered. " Isliye hi," Shubman finished. "Bhenchod hai sabh I swear," Mithra muttered making Shubman laugh.

"We have our graduation party today and you want to go to music class "band bhajane" keliye?" he asked doing the quotation symbol with his fingers making her roll her eyes. "Come on Shubi," she muttered as he placed his head on her lap smiling at her as she looked at him. "Pleaseee. No class today. Kuch movie tho dhekthe hai," he suggested as she ran her fingers through his messy hair.

"Happy new year movie?" she asked as he nodded. "Haan thujhe jho bhi chahiye, wo," he answered making her smile. "Phir thik hai!" she exclaimed placing her guitar near the table.

"I'm here I'm here, sorry I'm late!! Hop on," Mithra ranted making him roll his eyes before he got on the bike behind her.

"You always do this," he muttered as she started driving. Mithra usually dropped him at his coaching class when his parents weren't home. "Sure. Say's the one who I have to wake up when you doze off," she answered. "And don't forget that one time when you," she started before getting hit in the head by him. "Acha thik hai, firse uske baare me nahi bolungi," she answered. "And stop hitting me!" she whisper- yelled making him laugh.

"Acha thik hai, mujhe wait karna hai?" she asked. "Like I don't mind," she spoke. "Then wait. Come and sit inside," he answered before he started walking inside. "Yes, yes yes!" she muttered throwing her hands up in the air. "Also," Shubman started before turning making her hum in response. He pointed towards his feet making her huff. "Thujhe naa!!" she exclaimed before tying it for him.

"Bless you my child," he spoke patting her head. "Thu naa, jakar khel,  nahi tho mujhse maar kayega." Mithra answered making him laugh.

"HUM GRADUATE HO GAYE!!!" Shubman exclaimed hugging Mithra. The duo had finally finished high school. "Shubman, I need to tell you something," she muttered. "Yeah, what's wrong?" he asked concerned. "Here," Mithra answered handing him an envelope. Curious, he opened it. His eyes darted from one word to another before it went wide. "OHMYGOD, I GOT SELECTED!!!" He yelled making her smile. "Whats wrong? You're not happy?" he asked.

"No no. I'm the happiest person. But" she trailed off. "But what?" he asked holding her by the shoulder. "Mits, you're scaring me," he answered. But she just handed another envelope which he opened before reading. "Harvard omg! Wait," he answered before re-reading.

"You'll be in Cambridge during my first ever match!?" he whisper-yelled making her nod slowly. "I wanna see you play but this is my dream university, I-I donno what to do," she muttered making him pull her into a hug. "Well, you'll have internet, so I guess you can watch it online," he answered kissing her head.

"But who'll tie your shoelace for you? You never learnt," Mithra answered. "I can adjust for a few years." he answered. "I'll come to drop you at the airport and also pick you up when you'll come back yeah?" he assured before hugging her tight. "I'll miss you Shubi," she muttered against his chest.

"I'll miss you too Mits," Shubman muttered as a tear rolled down their cheek at the same time.
