Scott walked up the stairs, his hands interlacing Ramona's. The sun had finally started to set, and the sky turned an orange-ish pink. The autumn trees blew with the crisp wind that came along with the degree of weather. It was quite quiet for Tornoto, but Scott figured he'd enjoy it while he could. The rampways on the stairs seemed to go on forever. Different animals searched for food to store in preparation for winter.

He squeezed her hand lightly as they finally made it to the top of the building. Both decided to sit down and watch the sunset. Scott loved the idea of it, and Ramona did too. Scott's shaggy hair blew slightly in the wind. He angrily tried to push it back as Ramona laughed at his struggle. Finally, he managed to get a hold of it.

"It's pretty, isn't it?" Scott asked, staring into the sky, smiling. He then turned to Ramona, waiting for a response. "It is," Ramona smiled. They stayed silent for a minute before Scott began again. "I think it's pretty too," he replied. Ramona simply nodded. "So, you've got anything going on this weekend?" Scott said. Ramona's smile faded as she looked down at the ground, the wind giving her hair a gentle breeze. "I guess not," Ramona mumbled. "You wanna go to this one Park they opened up?" Scott questioned. "Oh. Yeah. Sure. If I have time I'll let you know," Ramona whispered.

Scott beamed at her and looked back at the sun. He could hear the cars in the streets now. Just as he was enjoying the silence of the date. He lightly placed a hand on Ramona's hand and hummed to himself, waiting for someone to strike up a conversation. Finally, Ramona said something.

"I just wanted to thank you, Scott," Ramona explained. "Oh? For what?" Scott asked curiously. Ramona thought for a bit. "You are one of the nicest people I know. You'd do anything for the people you love. Even if that meant risking your life for others to gain one. You have a good heart, Scott. I do hope it goes to someone special this time," Ramona explained. Scott was taken aback by this statement. He mostly focused on the sentence before she stopped.

"I do hope it goes to someone special this time,"

Scott looked at Ramona, worryingly. "What do you mean by that?" He asked. "I love you, Scott," Ramona sighed, cupping his face in her hands. "I do. But I can't hold onto it. I want you to forget about me. Go on with your life. Find someone that's good. I wish I had done something about this, but I cannot. I will miss you, Scott Pilgrim. Don't forget that. You might not understand now, but you will. Sorry if this sounds way too mysterious, dude," Ramona laughed. "Ramona, what-" Scott began.

Suddenly she slowly disappeared. Once she was gone completely, Scott checked his eyes. She's gone again. But something stuck with Scott that he knew was true. Something that he couldn't bear to live with as he knew what it meant.

She's not coming back this time.
