twelve: Night

Not knowing what took over her, Alara didn't even think for a second and rushed back inside. She rushed inside her room to grab her jacket. Inna was laid over the bed, her dress hanging over the wall inside a hanger, and the girl was looking at if as if she was mesmerized by it.

But at the entrance of Alara in the room as if she was hurricane, Inna head jerked away from her dress and her brows raised up in confusion when she saw that Alara was looking through the pile of clothes for something. "What are you doing?" She asked nonchantely, and in return Alara answered back in the same tone and voice, not giving much thought to her friend "I am going out"

Confused of her answer, Inna sat up from her laying position and clutched the pillow to her chest, "Out? At this time? with who?"

but instead Alara tilt her head up and looked at her friend and asked "Where is my jacket?", Inna raised her both brows "You really are going out? but at this time? Does Egan know?". Normally Alara would have understand Inna concern, but right now she was getting agitated from all these questions.

All she can think about is Coriolanus waiting for her in the cold wind. But just as Inna took Alara's brother name, he appeared out of thin air. His arm laid over the door frame, his body tilting forward and he questioned out loud enough to scare the girls for a second "What does Egan know?"

Alara glared at Inna who only shrugged at her in return, its not like Alara could have left without Egan knowing, at least not in place like Capitol which hungers for the blood of district's children. Alara smiled at her brother "Hey brother" she exclaimed.

Egan looked at Alara, her eyes wide and her pupils dilated as if she was on some kind of drug. Her hairs bit ruffed, and her cheeks red. He couldn't help but wonder if it was from the cold or something else.

Before Alara could explain herself, Victor also entered the room behind Egan "The snow boy is still at the door. Why is he still at the door?"

Fully confused Egan turned his head and looked at victor, "Coriolanus is here" and victor nodded his head at him "Yeah he delivered the suits. but why he still outside standing on the porch"

"Oh well lets go and figure it out", Egan said and victor nodded his head in agreement, both the boys turned their heads and were about to walk away when Alara decided that it was the perfect time to intervene and said out loud "He is waiting for me"

Egan and victor froze in their steps. Individually as if they were evil villains from horror movies, they turned their bodies, blinked and raised their brow, waiting for an answer. Victor stood there looking like a dumb goat and Alara sighed "He said he will take me to designer and help me get a dress"

Egan stepped forward toward her sister, his eyes went to Inna who was still perched upon on th ebed and back to Alara "But i thought you went today with Dawn and Inna"

"We did but Alara didn't like anything" Inna added as a support but it backfired when Egan eyes widened and he asked Alara "You didn't like any dress?".

"No they were too flowy, I play guitar and i need freedom to move in. Coriolanus said the designer will make me a custom dress from scratch, and she is amazing and wont charge much. and she is also busy tomorrow so we can't go tomorrow"

Egan smiled at his sister, his forehead showing lines "You really want to get a dress" And Alara nodded her head at him "I will never have such opportunity again. so yes".

Sighing and knowing that he had no authority to hold her back, but still if he argued she will. Egan didn't wanted to steal this one happiness from his sister, so he moved forward and hugged her tightly. "Just don't forget that they are Capitol and we are district"
