Christmas comes closer and break starts tomorrow morning. I watch the fire and pull down the sleeves of my shirt. Cedric sits next to me.
"Hey C," he says.
"Hi," I mumble. He looks at me worried.
"What's wrong?"
"Just, I'll be lonely soon."
"Harry and Ron will be here. And so will I."
I look at him.
"Don't you want to be with your family. Or maybe with your girlfriend."
"My family wants to go out of the country, even though I don't want to. And I have no girlfriend."
"What about you and Cho?"
He laughs and shakes his head.
"I'm single."
"Oh."
He laughs and heads up stairs. I look out the window and stare at the snow. It's quite beautiful. I always loved nature. To bad I can't go outside right now.
I get up and head to the restroom. I look in the mirror. I try putting my hair in a new pinup, but it doesn't look good. I keep trying and finally give up. I head into the girl's dorm and head to bed.

I walk over to Harry, Ron, and Hermione.
"That's barbaric," she says. I laugh.
"Did she just find out about Wizard Chess?" I ask. Harry and Ron nod their heads at the same time. I laugh, because I had the same reaction the first time I saw it. Hermione waves bye and goes to catch the train.
I leave the boys to playing their game while I try to find something to do. I decide to go visit Hagrid. I head down the path to his house. I slip on some ice and someone catches me. I look to see it's Cedric.
"Hey," I say as he helps me back up.
"Hey C. Where you going?"
"To Hagrid's. Do you want to come?"
"Sure."
We head down to his house. When we get there though, he's not there. The door is locked.
"That's odd," I say. "I don't even see or hear Fang."
"That is odd. I hope he is okay."
We head back up to the castle.
