You Are My Peace

CHAPTER 25

ARYA'S POV --

I was getting thirsty so I took a glass of water and when I drank half of it my eyes wandered around the entrance and I saw him... many unsaid things were there but then my eyes went to the girl standing beside him and my grip tightened on the glass. 

Rajveer went towards them and talked to  the girl, I was confused but then they walked towards us. Rajveer introduced the girl to us and I got to know that she is Mayra. Veer bhai was not talking to Mr. Jindal for which I felt bad because they were best friends and now they were not even looking at each other and the reason is pretty clear...it's me. I looked at Mr. Jindal and out of nowhere he winked at me and smirked at me to which I glared at him and rolled my eyes. 

RV and Mayra were having normal and random conversation and except them we all were quiet. Veer bhai told me that he had to make a call so he'll join again in sometime and he went outside in search of a silent place. 

I noticed Mayra looking in the direction where Veer bhai went but then Randheer came to us and she distracted herself. Randheer looked at me and said "Hi darling" I threw a deadly glare at him but didn't say anything seeing the heat in the moment Mayra started having a conversation with me  "so you are The Arya Shekhawat, I heard a lot about you." She said.

 "I hope good things only." I replied smilingly. "of course you know what I heard that you are one hell of a smartest woman and you can manipulate any situation in your favour." Mayra said excitedly. 

"Well I'll take that as a compliment." I said and Arjun interrupted in between and said while looking at me "of course after all she is a great manipulator." I looked at him and noticed that there was no emotion in his eyes neither love, nor hate. 

Mayra understood that something is wrong between both of us so she went away excusing herself. Randheer also went away to meet his business partners. We were just silently looking at each other.

After sometime I and RV were talking and Mr. Jindal went to meet his business partners and then Mayra joined us again. She seems sweet to me, we were talking and  Veer bhai also joined us. We were getting bored and was planning to leave when the host announced that it was the time for a dance. And RV approached me dramatically to which I laughed and joined him up. I saw Mr. Jindal and Mayra pairing up to which I honestly felt hurt maybe a little jealous too but I knew I can't show it in front of everyone. Veer bhai was refusing first but then he joined with some other girl. 

I was staring at Arjun because yes I was getting jealous of Mayra being so close to him. And Arjun was also staring at me but in between he also looked at Mayra. As soon as the song changed he turned Mayra and she was going to fall when Veer bhai left the girl to hold Mayra and save her from falling and In meantime Rajveer also turned me but before he can hold me Arjun came in between, grabbed my hand and pulled me towards him.

I was trying to get away but he held my waist and didn't let me go. He was holding me so tightly as if he'll loosen his grip and I'll fade away. I was breathing heavily because of our closeness and now we were dancing together and looking at each other without blinking. 

"how are you" he asked me in a soft tone. 

"Amazing" I replied dryly. 

"really?" he asked sarcastically. 

"Of course, do you really doubt, what did you thought that I'll cry after whatever you did to me. Didn't you?" I asked him. I didn't wanted him to know that I was hurt because of him and his actions. 

"I don't know about you but I really mis...." before he could complete his statement I interrupted and said "Shut up I don't wanna listen to anything. Anyways go Dance with your partner why are you dancing with me?"
