"Mom" I sighed leaning back onto my couch as she started yelling how I'm already safe where I am that she don't want me joining the 142. "Do you understand me young lady!" She yelled I rolled my eyes sighing deeply.
"This is my life mother. If you don't accept it then I don't know what to tell you I made up my mind." She hung up on me I gripped my phone throwing it across the room. "Ugh!" I fell back onto my couch as there was a knock at my door "It's open" I called out they walked in shutting the door behind them. "Umm you alright?" Charlie asked I sighed sitting up a little looking at her "Does it look like I'm okay?" I asked her she sighed
"Your mother?" She asked I nodded my head. She walked into the kitchen grabbing something out the fridge "Water?" She asked walking up next to me holding a bottle towards me I sat up taking it "Look, it's not your family's choice you don't have to ask for there blessing every time. I think you should take this opportunity and run with it Sparrow" I opened my water taking a sip.
"Really?" I asked her she nodded her head leaning back onto the couch. "Yeah sucks your leaving us but.. The 141 is everyone's dream. They want you S take that. You deserve it you're one of the strongest woman I even known to get into the 141 shit there isn't even a woman in the 141 now there at your feet asking you to join them." She said setting her water down and facing me.
"Look, I'm so fucking proud of you Sparrow. You're one of my best friends and I will not let you say no to this opportunity do you understand me?" She said I sighed nodding my head "Now call Price and tell him you'll do it" she handed me my phone I sighed taking it out her hands "I hope your right about this" I said taking the phone.
~At the 141~
"Woah" I whispered to my self looking out the window of the Helicopter I heard a deep chuckle I looked over at Ghost. "It's bigger than you thought?" He asked I laughed nodding my head. "Uhh yeah it definitely is." He looked out the window as well "Welcome to your new home Sparrow" Price said as the helicopter landed the door opened as we unloaded
"Welcome Lass" Soap walked up to me with a big smile pulling me into a hug it was unexpected "Oh" I whispered as his arms wrapped around me. "Oh good you're here I don't have to send Alex to get you. I want you to show her around then get her set up." Price said walking up handing me paper work "Read through this and sign where the arrow stickers are" he said I nodded my head he walked off with Ghost.
"Well let's get this tour started" he said with a big smile we started to walk towards base my phone started buzzing I ignored it because I knew it was my father my mother probably told him I accepted the transfer. As Soap continued to show me around my phone still keep going off I sighed deeply. "Do you umm want to get that?" He asked I shook my head "Don't worry about it continue." I smiled as we walked towards the housings.
"I'll take you to your place now" he said I followed him down the street. "This place is really cool." He chuckled nodding his head "It grows on ya" I looked around as we walked through the town. It wasn't too small nor too big. Everyone around in the houses were off base. "Look at that you live right next door to me" he pointed to his house at least two down from mine I rolled my eyes
"Of course only I'd be stuck by you" he crossed his arms over his chest "What's that supposed to mean?" He asked I laughed shaking my head "Don't worry about it, anyways let's head inside" he held the keys out in the air in front of me "You should be the one doing this" I took the keys and walked up the steps unlocking the door I slowly made my way inside the house.
"This place is beautiful" I whispered walking around "Woah there's even flowers" I rushed up to the vase there was a note "Sorry love, the house was so empty and pale I wanted to add some color hope you enjoy ~ Soap." I turned looking at Soap he smiled softly "I know I know but it's just so blah in here I thought it needed some color to make it pop hope I didn't over step any boundaries " he said following behind me into the kitchen. I shook my head softly
"No no you didn't" I smiled my phone rang again I sighed deeply whipping it out and answering it "HELLO!" I said with attitude the other end was silent "Don't speak to me like that ev- Dad if your calling to yell at me I don't want to hear it. I'm in the middle of a mission goodbye" I hung the phone up putting it back into my pocket
"I'm sorry about that anyways continue." He nodded his head he went on talking about the house. It didn't take me much time to notice he didn't ask what was wrong or nothing about that phone call he just ignored it and went on talking about the place. My eyes followed his body but the words coming out his mouth was quiet. He was turning to speak to me but my phone rang again I groaned loudly
"Allow me Mate" he held his hand out I sighed placing it in his hand he answered "Hello?" Few moments later he turned looking at me "No sir she is not in the mood to talk to you. I apologize for what I'm about to say but the way you were yelling at me before you couldn't even notice it wasn't your daughter that answered. You my good sir is a huge asshole have a good day" he hung the phone up shoving it in his pocket.
"Let's go" he said walking out my house as I slowly followed behind him. The way he stood up to my father for me made me feel like he's actually a good guy to trust on this team.
