Selene looked at the drinking fountain she created, the villagers were happily using it. She created a separate fountain where kids could play especially when it was hot. Her husband walked up behind her and placed a loving hand on her womb. She smiled, turning to look at him. She wanted to contact their parents' souls so she could tell them about her pregnancy and their future grandchild.

Sypha had given birth a week ago, Selene being a skilled doctor was able to help make the delivery smooth and safe for both mother and child.

It was a healthy boy and it was the first time she saw Trevor cry. He cried as he held his child for the first time. Sypha recovered quickly thanks to the care Selene provided for her.

"I'm so happy, Adrian." Selene whispered as she placed a warm hand on his. "I wish to inform our parents." Selene had felt a change in her body and started to write down her symptoms. Selene wasn't picky with her food but recently some food made her feel nauseous. She also started to feel nauseous, mostly during mornings and she couldn't stand the smell of coffee. Adrian was very worried about her and refused to leave her side. Selene decided to use her magic to try to find out what was wrong with her body. She was surprised when she felt the faintest heartbeat from her womb. She cried and cried, making her husband worry about her even more. When she told him, he cried with her out of happiness. Selene wasn't completely sure if she would become pregnant because she was only part human and she never even had monthly female cycles. Adrian cried out of sheer joy at the thought that he would be a father.

"Is it safe?" He asked and she nodded.

"I found a magical artifact that would allow us to speak with souls, although shortly." She said as she moved to hug her husband.

"Okay." He conceded, he too wanted to speak with his parents. He wanted to let them know he was happy and he had his own family with Selene now.

They were in one of the many rooms of the castle, a magic circle drawn on the floor. Selene placed a large crystal in the middle. She made her husband sit beside her and she held his hand tightly.

"Here we go." She whispered before she started the spell. Adrian watched the crystal glow and an image projected above it. He saw how the image became clearer and he recognized Selene's parents.

"Kori?" Nikolai Laskaris, Selene's father asked.

"Yes, Papa." Selene replied and her eyes started to water.

"My little moon." Estra, her mother called and a sob escaped Selene's lips. Adrian didn't think twice and wrapped his arm around his wife.

"Mama." Selene replied as tears fell.

"What is the matter, my little Selene?" Her mother asked gently.

"Nothing, Mama. I'm just so happy right now." Selene answered, wiping her tears and looking at her husband. "Adrian and I are husband and wife now."

"Our little Adrian?" Nikolai asked, excitement clear in his voice. "He finally asked you to be his wife. Finally!"

Selene laughed and saw her husband blush.

"Adrian, you've become such a handsome man." Estra said with a warm smile. "You remind me so much of Lisa. Promise to take care of our daughter for us?"

"Yes, of course." He quickly replied. "I will protect her and care for her for eternity."

Selene smiled as she saw them smile at her husband. "We wanted to tell you both something important. That's why we contacted you."

"What is it, kori?" Nikolai asked, looking at his daughter with loving eyes.

"I'm pregnant." Selene replied, her tears flowing once again. "You're going to be grandparents."

"Oh my!" Selene's mother gasped. "Congratulations, my little moon. Congratulations, Adrian. I know you will both be great parents."

"Adrian." Selene's father called him. "Thank you for giving my daughter the family she deserves."

Adrian's eyes watered and smiled. "I should be the one thanking her. She gave me the family I could only dream of."

The two bid goodbye and promised to contact them after the baby was born.

Selene took her time and wiped her tears. She gave her husband a gentle kiss on his lips. "Now your parents."

Adrian nodded and entwined her fingers with his. Selene started the spell again, the crystal glowing but no image appeared. Selene frowned.

"That's weird." Selene commented, frowning as she looked at the crystal. She tried again and nothing happened.

"I can't contact them." Selene muttered. "Just like with Trevor."

Adrian's eyes widened when he realized what she meant.

"Selene. Please don't joke around." He told his wife gently.

"I'm not, my love. I used to be able to speak with your mother so this is weird."

"When did you last speak with her?"

"Two years ago." Selene replied with a frown. "The only time I experienced this was when I was trying to contact Trevor."

"What does this mean, Selene? Were their souls destroyed?" Adrian asked, growing frantic.

Selene shook her head. "The crystal would not glow if their souls didn't exist."

"Then what does it mean?"

"They're not dead." Selene muttered. "Come we need a book. It might give me some answers."

Selene stood up, her husband following her. They ran to the Belmont Hold, passing by confused villagers.

Selene took out a large book. "Ultimate Alchemical Creations"

Selene quickly scanned the pages. "Rebis." She whispered and read the passage intently. Adrian read the passages that his wife was reading. He frowned as he read how to create it, remembering the abomination Saint Germain created.

Selene continued reading and stopped, pointing at a passage. "A Rebis can be destroyed by separating the male and female completely up to their souls. It is believed that by doing so, the body of the man and the woman would become separate wholes and the souls would take one body each. It is hypothesized that these bodies would take on the bodies of the souls who took over them. The bodies would be the perfect likeness of their previous lives, their memories and personalities preserved."

"Fuck. Your parents might be alive." Selene muttered in disbelief as she fell to her knees. Adrian went down to his knees and hugged his wife.

"Why haven't they come back here?" Adrian asked as he wrapped his arms around her.

"They might think it will cause more harm than good. Knowing your parents, they must be off somewhere." Selene replied, wrapping her arms around him. "This is too much."

Adrian saw her distress and lifted her up in his arms. She wrapped her arms around his neck as he carried her home. He didn't want to stress his wife out, especially since she was pregnant with their child.
